Online comics portal

Hey all,

I have been frequenting www.newgrounds.com alot here lately and really dig the way they have thier portal set up. I was wondering if anyone had seen something like this done in the online comics community and if so where? Over at www.gutterflycomix.com we are making plans to implement something like this, but would like to see how others are doing it. Any info would be great as well as any comments on how we can make this work well for online comic creators. Let us know and thanks.

I personally think the best way to get your comic around is to become buddies with other comic makers and win their respect. If you really think about it it's somewhat of a risk to go to topwebcmics.com and such to look for good sites because you really can't trust the quality. At least if you alraedy read and like a comic, you can trust that comic's author to say "This is good."
