Megaman 9 Fuck Yeah: MM9 Thread Pt 2
Old thread was page limit plus a lot.
Jesus I love this game. I mean I am completely terrible at this game but I still love this game. Not Gutsman has killed me like twenty times but I still keep going back for more.

You're going to love when you get Galaxy Man's weapon. Part of me misses MM3+ sliding but I understand we're going Mega Man 2 here so that's where it stays.
I'm stuck on Wily 1. How the fuck do you get past the horizontal magma?

Mirai: I assume you're talking about the second magma deathtrap screen. Basically, you have to be very very fast with Rush. Make sure you're turned to the right, and call Rush Coil as soon as you cross into the new screen. Don't stop or slow down, 'cause you'll miss it if you do. As soon as you hit the top of the ladder, use the rush coil you called to get to the middle ladder. Climb to the next screen and drop down to the far right ladder. If you want an E tank, do the left ladder first.
You must call Rush Coil before you hit the top of the ladder, or the time he takes to come down will make you take too long, and you'll jump right into the magma.

Honestly sliding always struck me as kinda lame MM-wise, at least inasmuch as him not having either 1. dashing or 2. ducking.
Charge shots would be sweet though.

Bah, I had assumed I had to jump up to the left ladder, then drop down and use the Coil to get to the right ladder. Doyyy. TY.
EDIT: If we were to get the Dash Boots for Mega Man 9 I think my head would explode. I mentioned this in a blog post I made but I swear to god I hope that Capcom takes this kind of example and makes Mega Man X9 for DLC, but base it on Mega Man X's mechanics. I would shit my pants right then and there, and buy it on every console offered.

If you bought the Wii version I think you can get Proto Man tomorrow for 200 points. He comes with double damage, sliding, charge shots, and fucking cool shades. I've only been able to play on weekends due to school, but so far it's been a blast. I've already defeated the eight Robot Masters. Surprisingly enough, I aced 6 of them when dealing with their weaknesses. I'm proud. I fucking hate the lava thingies in Dr. Wily 1 stage. Augh. I can't wait for next Friday so I can mock them when I finally defeat them. Last edited by Regulus Tera; 10-06-2008 at 12:45 AM. |

They're actually pretty easy to get past once you know the trick.

Alternate Lava Strategie: Concrete Man's weapon freezes them. I found this out accidentally during Magma Man's stage.

I just started playing this game and FUCK I'm having a blast! Done with Galaxy Man and I'm trying to get through Splash Woman's stage next but the goddamn moving water platform rooms are too hard! And every time I die I have to start at the bubble platforms area I need to regain my Mega Man skills...

I'm hearing everyone say how simple Splash Woman is but she actually took me a while to get used to. Her Trident-throwing pattern was totally bizarre to me.
Although I'm glad I did as having a weapon that powers through shields and enemies alike was intensely useful to have early on.
