Avatar Arena Discussion: What Sparky says, goes!
Sparky said Wednesday is deadline for any current battles. So, it is (cuz, y'know, he's a judge).
Now discuss my minions... DISCUSS I SAY!

The Obfuscated One
|
Well, for my battle with Twiddy, the outcome hinges on one thing.
Whether or not Twiddy can overcome the churning ground effect and change the main elements of the arena off of ground/holy enough to weaken Sanctuary Guardian. If SG can keep the ground churning and keep sucking under any changes, then I'm going to squeek by with a win, although just barely.

Alas, alack. It seems that POS has not posted. To alleviate the sorrow of a creation left unfinished, I shall lay my cards upon the table. I now reveal the Cunning Plan.
It is a plan founded upon trickery. What your eyes see is not the truth. Arhra does not wander wounded in the bowels of POS's base. A simulcrum goes in her stead while she waits veiled in magic's folds atop the great towers. Hints of this were given and I had hoped to seed more before the end, but alas this is not to be. However, the replica is both decoy and weapon. Upon the splodomancer's signal, the explosive spell woven into it would trigger. By this means it was hoped to trap the Negative Kamen at a moment he was unguarded against such an attack. A construction of some complexity, Arhra would be able to direct her concentration to control the puppet, even casting spells through it, although weaker and more difficult. A regrettable side affect is transferance of pain as the same interfaces that allow control require full sensory transmission. Arhra would feel every hit it took, at least to the extent that its more limited capabilities could feel pain. This simulcrum was engineered to be a physical duplicate of Arhra, save for the detail of the wings. She thought it expedient and fitting to grant them to her angel of death. Alas, this final touch of dramatics proved a fatal flaw, the simulcrum proving to be incapable of supporting itself in flight. Fortuitously it survived the fall and Arhra decided to attempt to lure Negative Kamen to it. Negative Kamen proven recaltricant and so Arhra took two risks in revealing herself. The first was creating an apparent discrepancy by dropping a spell down to seek and destroy the tower POS stood upon while she laid apparently insensible at the ground level and for the second, attempting to pick him off with the handguns she still had upon her invisible person. Finally, in the base, Arhra hoped to navigate her simulcrum to the end, where the Negative Kamen would make his appearance. A single, unexpected explosion, held back for when she felt certain the Negative Kamen would be too close for escape through shadows, could make all the difference in the world... What better way to win than snatching victory at the very moment one's defeat seems a certainty? Ah, I do enjoy writing in this style from time to time. Well, there's my plot revealed for all the world to see.

If there will be more battles after this, I might be interested in getting in on them. Flare and IC's battle in particular inspired me, with its elegant, honest, simplicity...not that I actually read any of the others.
For the purposes of such a duel, I would primarily use D&D magic.

Waiting for MC43 to reply to my last attack...I may have to pull out my trump card if we're getting to the limit.
:stressed: Why did I have to spawn as the stupid book? And on top of that, I haven't had a good oppurtiny to say my catchphrase.

Err... Mauve? Are we still fighting? Sorry, just getting a little impatient.
Raiden, just curious, but have the results been produced? I thought the deadline was last Wednesday.

The Deadline was Wednesday. Those that haven't decided are already being rolled.

Too much awesome for such a small space. Oh well. You can still punch your mother...if you want... Fifth and Krylo made me do it. http://www.animecubed.com/billy/user...sigs/60266.jpg Be the Ultimate Ninja! Play Billy Vs. SNAKEMAN today! |

Sorry Garud; my fault entirely. I thought we had to stop posting on Wednesday, so I just... stopped.
I posted right now, if it's not too late.
