Wii have problems
Three days ago, I was fortunate enough to be able to find a Wii in stock in stores over here (México). Joyfully, I plug the console and start playing, do a few things and pretty much start to know each other well.
Then, I get to the channels parts, News and Forecast in particular. It said something about updating and reading the Terms of Service and User Agreement. So I say "Sure, why not?". Here's the issue: Everytime I try, it fails to connect to the internet (Unable to connect to the Internet Error Code: 220602). This is the only action that fails Web-based, as far as I'm concerned, since it's able to check for updates (it reports there are none at the moment), it's able to recognize my wireless router and what not. I'm just unable to use that service. Here, I open two questions for ye'. 1) Is there some way to fix this that anyone has ever heard of? ANY suggeestion, solution or tip that might have worked for you is open. Seriously, I'm desperate. I tried Nintendo's own web site to no avail. 2) Anyone else has had any issues, be it Internet based or other?

Updates for News and Weather do not as of yet, exist. Apparently they'll be up later. Til then no News or Weather.
Oh and to spare you fifth's wrath, shrink your sig, he'll probably start banning soon.

Dont worry about the internet errors. It happens to a lot of people and its mostly on Nintendo's end. Pretty much the only times that its your fault is if you use the wifi dongle with a dial up connection.

I'm glad to hear that. I was afraid I needed to get it changed or something.
I also checked last night, seems like the shopping channel is closed too. Shame really, as IGN said, this thing is not living to its expectations. Oh sure, it's new and they kinda need time to organize it, get things ready and whatnot, but you'd think they'd been working all that a few months back in development, no?

Go to the Wii options section and click on WiiConnect24. Its going to show you the stuff to configure and the ToA of the online network. If all else fails just contact Nintendo. They will fix you up in record speed.
