Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin
So far it's a kick and a half. I'll miss Soma Cruz and Alucard, but this game has some shit going for it anyway. Puzzle-solving returns, along with a really great combat engine.
It feels really smooth, too; Like, you don't have to switch between Jonathan and Charlotte, but you can, and either way you can just as easily run through large sections of the game. Definately worth the buy. Thoughts?

It's out? I must purchase! I have to go now, like the crazed american consumer I am.

I'm importing this for Christmas. Looks really awesome and there's tons of secret stuff to get. 1000% completion to reach too.
*spoiler* Looking forward to playing as/fighting Richter and the seven or so other playable characters. More games should have touches like this.*end spoiler.* One more thing: The Japanese version had a code in which if you held the L shoulder button whilst starting game you could play the game with English voices. Does this code work in the US release? Obviously for the US version it'll switch to Japanese voices. Test it for me? Last edited by mudah.swf; 12-18-2006 at 05:06 PM. |

Got it...been playing it since it came out. Its even keeping me away from Twilight Princess.
I already beat the primary game, and *SPOILER* just beat "Sisters" mode...a bit easy than the main game, IMHO */SPOILER*. Oh...and hard mode really is HARD. Much more so than the other games, I've noticed.

I'm very pleased it. Possibly more than Dawn Of Sorrow. I'm hoping hard mode will be Circle Of The Moon hard. That was the perfect difficulty.
