Delayed Games
I hate when a game is delayed about a month before it comes out. I know all of you people hate it too, but which ones? Bring up memories or think of stuff that you're waiting for today.
For me, Halo 2 is the most torturous thing I've ever experienced in my life. It's coming out in fall now and all the anxious gamers will have to wait ANOTHER six months. I'm sure most of Halo's fans will have commited suicide before the game comes out byecause of the wait. |

Um...Half-Life 2 anyone? I've been anxiously awaiting that game's arrival for months now. It seems like it gets delayed every other week. If you can find an accurate release date that you can justify by finding at least two sites carrying the same date, I'll...buy you that mystery file from ebay
[Edit] I am also waiting for Halo 2 and have already reserved a copy. I hope it's as good as the book.

Meh, it gets me angry when they delay games, but I don't complain about it, since the longer it takes, generally the better the product. Of course, whenever I say that, I think of Master of Orion III...
However, the game I'm most looking forward to that keeps getting delayed is most likely Half-Life 2.

I get angry for delays when they reach the 6th month type area. THAT'S a delay. I'm use to Nintendo mind you where a 'launch date' usually means 3-4 months later. Which is also good because its almost always done to fix a bug and even a few times to add material.
But there's pleanty that have gone beyond my patience: Star Ocean 3 - Japan has had it almost a year and NOW have a second version of it with added features, like the ability to use the characters in the game to fight each other (like a fighter). We better be getting those extra features or I'm gonna be quite mad. Mario 128 - This was announced before the GC was made...but where is it? I hear its coming out this year....finally. Tales of Symphonia - Japan has had this game since last June or something. What's holding them down? It better not be some horrible dub. And my cheif complaint, and the game that best suits the delayed game definition: Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life - Geez! Another that was announced before the GC was even out and its STILL not out yet. Japan got this ne last year....in July. Where's my copy?! They wre going to release it to America in January...but it got pushed forward to March. How many more times must you taunt me Natsume!

For anyone anticipating Fable or Halo 2, just a bit of fair warning... You will be lucky to see either one of them this year. MS has been telling our chain that while they are officially delayed to Q4 2004, it is highly likely that both will be delayed to sometime in 2005.

Well, in the case of Halo 2 the delay is most likely due to Microsoft wanting the title to beef up their Christmas lineup. Since last Christmas was a little weak MS will want as strong a lineup this Christmas as possible. And MS doesn't have a stronger title than Halo 2 in the pipe. Whatever one's opinion on Halo one can't argue with the numbers. Or the massive hype that Halo 2 has behind it.

As a Blizzard fan, I've learned to love delays.
