TV SPARTACUS: VENGEANCE

I can't really say anything without spoiling this entire season, but suffice it to say that this third season of Spartacus has been easily one of the greatest shows I have ever seen. We saw the beginnings of this greatness in Gods of the Arena, but it was only six episodes long; this season was 12. See past the intense nudity and gory violence to the heart of this show: it understands drama and characterization like few others. Well, perhaps it is melodrama, hyperbolic events, with complex Byzantine maneuvering the likes of which has not been seen on TV very often. But damn if this season didn't wrap up like the darkest Shakespearean tragedy of all time. Again, I cannot say anything without spoiling it, but do yourself a favor and watch this show if you haven't! Everything about this season was absolutely perfect--I don't think I've seen a show go through such perfect arcs with so many great characters. Suffice it to say, the subtitle "vengeance" does not even begin to capture what happened on the season finale.

Just...man. So fantastic. Anyone else can add to the praise?
