So we are clear

Netflix just earned its keep
I was starting to reconsider netflix. I ran through the backlog of things I wanted to watch, and alot of the anime was taken off. However I then noticed they got alot of cartoon network shows both old and new. Samurai Jack, Dexter's Lab, Adventure Time, Justice League, so far my only complaint is that these are all just season one stuff. Still I got something to occupy me for the next couple of days.

my cousin lets me use his account on my tablet, i also took notice of this stuff. I guess they use Season 1 as a "gauge" to measure interest on these shows. Still, a lot of cool stuff specially if you re at home with nothing to watch or on the road trying to kill some time... the backlog of old stuff is also pretty cool.

Go go, MediaHint!
I got another free trial last month so, it seems keeping it will be worth it...except I'll have to mess around with it because no CN stuff is on the mexican catalog.

Let's not forget BTBATB and Generator Rex. Now if they could just add a TMNT show on there that's not Next Mutation, I'll be one happy camper.

Archer and Armstrong vs. the World

Didn't know they had Justice League. I actually got that one on DVD last year when it was heavily reduced in price for a time but having it streaming is always nice.
I've been watching a lot of shows, Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, Ultimate Spider-Man, Wolverine and the X-Men, many of the DCU Animated Original movies are on there, as well as shows like Twin Peaks, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Futurama, Sons of Anarchy, etc. Twin Peaks and SoA are the ones I missed out on entirely in their runs so it's good to be able to watch them now. If you like Breaking Bad or haven't seen it they have the first four seasons on there now. I think they finally got season 2 of the Walking Dead up after only having season 1 for two years. I think they even have Mad Men if that is your cup of tea. I haven't had much to complain about in their streaming movies section other than the usual lack of new films. They have like one new movie a month--by new I mean came out last year. Obviously their back-catalog is pretty decent, depending on what you like. I don't mind watching a lot of '70s movies like Bullitt, The 7-Ups, Cool Hand Luke, that kind of thing. Oh, and they had Manhunter on their for only like, two days and then took it off before I had a chance to watch it. Bastards. Rewatched Thief as consolation. Been meaning to watch World Without End which is a sort-of-sequel to Pillars of the Earth, but not really since the only connection is they are both in England and based on books by the same author. I mean they are set two hundred years apart or something. EDIT: Does anyone know if there are any blogs or review sites or whatever just sort of dedicated to pointing out good things to watch on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Instant Video, etc.? That would be some pretty deep fodder of material for somebody. I mean if you have HuluPlus you got the entire Criterion collection, too. Last edited by Magus; 04-07-2013 at 07:15 PM. |
