The Secret of Castle Doom Discussion Thread
Well, seeing how the old thread is back several pages and is at limit anyway, I thought I'd start a new one.
Obsolete, you know Wing, Aeris and Shuren are several miles away from your location don't you?

hmm... I was thinking the same thing... just that we're actually leagues away. A swift dragon makes short time in travelling over the land.

true, but who the hell can send a flying disc over a few leagues and still be conscious? If I was in a bad mood, I'd call it godmodding, but what the hell, it's good anyway. Saves Wind from catching Shuren, although she's travelling at breakneck speed and might barely miss the disc.

Not to mention Aeris cast Featherfall on Shuren... So he's now falling at the speed of a feather, which, last time I checked, was slower than a parachute.
Oh well. I suppose Mr. Charcion likes putting large glowy disks on a collision course with dragons :p

Yes Rhiya, but we're working off two types of Magic. The type I'm working off has the policy, do it or die. Basically the magic saps your will power, until either the task is done, or your dead from over-exertion. It's actually a large task to make the platform, but a small one to send it.
Plus, Charcion is EXHAUSTED now. He hasn't used Magic as long as Notikas, but he's not human, and has a firm grasp on magics and the power of the mind. He just doesn't like using it.

Ah, Obsolete, you've just managed to make Charcion move many leagues instantaneously with no explanation again.
Extra Stuff: I've started the new thread. I didn't want to say what happened with the crash landing yet. And Charcion, you need to decide whether you're with Arthus or with Wind, Aeris and Shuren. I should clarify that the only things currently attacking the knights are the spectres, there's not a single zombie or skeleton in sight. Similiarly, the only things currently present at Wind, Aeris and Shuren's location are the gorecrows. Until that big scary demon shows up of course. So Charcion, If you're with the knights you're in a bit of trouble as there are incorporeal undead to deal with and you're outside the shield. They'd be all over you like flies over rotting meat. At the other position there's only gorecrows to worry about.

Only gorecrows to worry about. mhmm. Think of them as daggers with wings.
I think Charcion was (last time at least) right outside the shield, inbetween Arthus and the spectres, so... he's in big trouble. I suppose Aeris didn't guess right in thinking the necromancer was homing in on the curse he planted? Or is he old-fashion scrying on us?

And it isn't over yet with the gorecrows....you still have a bunch of demons and a tiamath captain to deal with...

Well, for a start, an army isn't that hard to track. But yes, he is tracking the curse. Amongst other things.
Oh a side note, simply for the sake of my own amusement I went and did the maths. Assuming the disc had traveled at the speed of sound (which it evidently hadn't due to the lack of a sonic boom), it would take about 15 seconds to travel a single league. If they were 10 leagues away from the knight's position which is actually still pretty close seeing how they were trying to lead the undead away, the disc would have taken two and a half minutes to get there. That's more than enough time to get to the ground even with a feather fall spell. Looks like miracluous teleportation is your only option Obsolete.
