First, welcome to the forums!

Second, reference the Trolling thread, I understand what you're saying and often feel similarly. I'm a conservative, and pretty strong one, so, you know, I get hated for it, though I can be obtuse without trying, too.

Also Liz... ironically... is being a troll on the thread of that topic. She is a transgendered person previously known as Noncon (and occasionally still referred to by the name Nonsy) of rather strong libralism and with an (apparent) hatred of virtually all things (and people) conservative. Don't let it get to you and just generally leave her alone. Check my past posting history if you want - you'll see pretty quickly, in virtually anything political I've posted in, I've fallen often into the trolling "trap" you described.
