Default Weapon Concept

I've been toying with what to give Shyria for a weapon when she isn't in dragon mode, and I ended up sketching out this idea for a war hammer.

"God King's Might"
  • An ancient weapon that derives its name from the massive fang embedded in the haft opposite the head, rumored to have once belonged to the god Bahamut Himself. The hammer's metallic components consist of various alloys of steel and orichalcum, with a leather-wrapped grip and ornamentation in gold and ruby.
  • A relic of the earliest wars of dragonkind, the hammer is housed in Bahamut's largest temple in one of the main dragon aeries, rotating from city to city every decade to ensure prosperity and safety throughout all the dragon lands; to ward against thieves, the name of the hammer's current resting place is a jealously guarded secret, and up to five dummy artifacts are rotated between the cities alongside the genuine article. Nevertheless, the prospect of controlling even a fraction of the God-King's power is enough to lead sufficiently ambitious thieves to risk bringing down the wrath of the entire nation on their heads.

I'm generally happy with how the shading turned out, though I still need to practice shading metal more often, especially in respect to the highlights.
