As the scarabs were flung towards him he caught one in a gauntleted fist and crushed it. He then unsheathed his sword and slashed the second in half. In the middle of this action, he booted Will hard in the stomach, sending him flying backwards. Solaris pulled another crossbow and pointed them at the Black Mages. "Because I'm an inquisitor devoted to capturing practitioners of evil magic, such as yourselves. Any magical spell cast on me will be deflected back at the caster. By the way, I'm not a bird, you moron," he added to Will, and he kicked the thief again, this time in the jaw.

"wrong.....I know of inquisitors, and of their weaknesses....." Aeryn smirked, as venom dripped onto the Avariel's hand through the cracks in his gauntlets, burning it....and since it was Myrra's beetle, Solaris was quickly paralzyed. Meanwhile, the acidic venom from Aeryn's beetle melted the winged elf's sword, "You want to pluck his eyes out, Rage, or shall I?"

Solaris's eyes quickly burned with a brilliant golden radiance. "Touch me, and you will regret it. Foolish mages." Although his mouth was paralyzed, his voice rang through their minds. "I'm no ordinary inquisitor. I'm a Mortal Deva." The Mortal Devas were a cult of Avariel who were rumored to be crossbred with angels.

Aeryn's own eyes glowed, as he drew himself to his full height, "I grew tired of the self-righteous bullshit spouted by your kind long ago...and if you hope to earn a quick death by angering me, then your plan will fail sorely!" he drew a long, curved dagger from his belt, "and whining about how your position will protect you shall make your death even more pathetic....not to mention slow and painful!" he grinned, his eyes flashing.

"Leave the eyes in. I want to see how he would react when he sees his angelic bloodline drain out of him in a slow and painful process," Myrra licked her lips, her now slightly fanged teeth more prominent as she bared her teeth in a sinister smile. "You can, however, be the one to start his torture," Aeryn grinned. Myrra, her rage against the deva boiling, flicked a hand towards Cy. Against his own will, he moved aside. Myrra noted his grimace as he stepped behind her.
"We will deal with the creature now."

Cy sighed softly and stepped back and shook his head, 'blastedMortal Deva's, always coming in at the wrong time. Cy looked his blade, suicide was starting to look like a nice idea, he was beggining to get sick of life. He sighed and walked out of the room, standing at the top of the steps he sighed and slowly made his way down the steps.

"Do you mind if I have a bit of fun too?" said Will getting up and taking out his knives then seemingly as an after thoght he took out the scrolls. "Does anybody want to field test these scrolls, I dont mind losing one for this so any takers?"

"Eh? So you are giving them freely now?" Came Myrra's chilling reply. She was oblivious to the exit of Cy. Only the pleasurable death of the half-breed angel was on her mind. Reaching out almost blindly, she grabbed one off Will's outstretched hand with a gruff and uncharacteristic "thank you" and broke the seal.
Instantly, she knew the power of the scroll. It took all her will to refrain from gasping in surprise. Instead, she let her rage boil down to a low simmer and rounded on Will.
"Which blasted Wizard's tower did you pass by?!" she demanded, the two punctuation marks clearly stating her forceful zeal.

"I dont realy know I was just running from a few disgruntled people and I came apon a tower". "Wizards were poring in and out and they had "dropped" a few scrolls so I picked them up". "Anyway Im willing to sacrfice a few items of value for personal enjoyment and this will be very enjoyable for all of us". "Dont you agree"?

Mercury listens idly to Myrra and Will arguing over the scrolls and makes a decision to find out the spells the scorlls contain but is more focused on watching Solaris. He's amused by how the avariel's arrogance had been his downfall but expecting Solaris to use some kind of spell he readies a spell of his own to shunt the spell.
