Renny had a nice grin on his face upon seeing the Explouds both go down. Lola did seem completely set on calling him sir though.
"The situation is in our favor, good job!" Renny then gasped and gritted his teeth as Togekiss plopped on the floor unable to fight any longer. Seeing Shannon's pokemon drop also was a letdown. "Togekiss!" Renny was completely livid with the grunt for cutting his treasured companion, and for the ghosts focusing on it. Guess they hated symbols of happiness and bliss. He called out to Shannon reassuringly as he pulled out another pokeball. "We'll get time to aid them afterwards, Shannon! Umbreon, come on out!" The sleek eevee evolution had its back arched in the air, its forelegs gripping the carpet ready for combat, the darkness and atmosphere of the mansion completely in its element. "Ladies, I don't know why, but that grunt doesn't seem to notice that he's surrounded by those ghosts. If we take out his pokemon, he might just bolt thinking he's by himself, and get captured at the exit. If not, we'll deal with him ourselves. Lola, let's do that helping hand thing again, this time on Manetric. Charlotte, could you do another Discharge!? We'll support you!" Renny turned to his pokemons, with a sterner expression pasted on his face. "Umbreon and Swampert, you're doing Helping Hand on that Manetric. Swampert, get up close to it. You can handle the shocks easily." Umbreon's dark body seem to faded into oblivion except for its gold rings which glowed with an otherworldly aura, directed toward Pike as Swampert took its place near him and roared supportingly. "They're practically all yours, Charlotte!" ---------------------- Umbreon uses Helping Hand on Pike. Swampert uses Helping Hand on Pike. Leftovers heals its damage a bit. Intends to be the one "affected" by Discharge hitting ally part since it is immune to electric damage. Requests Lola to use Helping Hand on Pike. Suggested Charlotte to use Pike's Discharge due to all the power-up. STAB bonus, and three 1.5 multiplier, each on top of the other. ^^ Last edited by Menarker; 03-12-2010 at 11:11 AM. |

These spooks are getting really annoying, Pierce thought. He had to take the farmer out, and the ghosts too so they didn't heal him again. "Tyranitar, Metagross, return." He said, recalling them to their pokeballs and taking two others out and tossing them. Blaziken and Kingdra materialized. "Kingdra, use Blizzard, get those ghosts. Blaziken, Sky Uppercut on that old man. Don't kill him, just take him out of the fight."
Blaziken came in at the farmer quickly and released the uppercut, pulling it a bit so it didn't kill him. After Blaziken moved away, all foes were struck by the raging snow.

"They're practically all yours, Charlotte!"
"Thats the smartest thing anyone has said all day," she responded. "If the man doesn't flee, I'll just have one of my hounds bring him down." She then looked directly at the drill Sergent, making deep eye contact with him. "I hope you heard that sir," she said, adding extra sarcasm to the last word. "I'll hurt you, I have people here who can vouch for that," she said, off-handedly pointing at Shannon. It seemed she might have a future in hurting other trainers. She then returned Sol-leks to her pokeball, so he avoid him taking a hit. "Pike, you heard the man, Discharge now!" Pike then sent out another series of electrical bolts, holding a bit of a grudege against the guy, and hoping Charlotte would get a chance to carry out her threats. |

Impact sighed. None of this was going very well, and he was in pain. That last chair had cracked a rib. Those ghosts really were annoying. Nothing they could do, of course. Pierce's Blaziken had attack the farmer, and it was (thankfully) being less respectful to the elderly than he had been. Left him, Matt and Rachel... He slung the rifle over his shoulder again, pulled the dragon slave, sighted along the blade at Cherrim. He glanced towards Matt and Rachel. "Rachel! Can you use thunder on the Miltank and have your pokemon take out the farmer's last pokemon, once he deploys it? Matt, can you help Rachel? I'll take care of Cherrim." Without waiting for a reply he injected himself with the stamina boost, hefted the blade and sprang at Cherrim, grinning. The grin stemmed partly from the enormous energy surge that the boost had conveyed, partly from the fact that, finally, he was once again fighting a known pokemon. One that he knew strengths and weaknesses to, one that he knew precisely where he needed to stab (the section just below the green leaf) to kill it. And stab he did. The dragon slave wasn't super-effective, but his weapons' lethality had been improved, the adrenaline was increasing his strength, Cherrim had fairly weak defense and, most importantly, his recent injection was supplying him with enough short-term energy to attack with far more ferocity and speed than normal. And so his blade whirled at the unfortunate plant pokemon, slicing deep and once piercing it so far that the blade's tip emerged from the other side.

Matthias was taken aback by their complete immunity to his poison. That was an unexpected and unwelcome development. It seemed this was not a battle fit for a Venomoth even if he was going after the regular pokemon in it.
He focused for but a moment Pokeshift! Castform! His body reverted to normal for a second, the wings, horns and fangs vanishing into small particles and rearranging over his body, skin turning gray, eyes black and clouds starting to float off him. He looked ahead at the Miltank, arm extending and palm flat. Ice Beam. |

Team Ninjas Synopsis (Impact/Pierce/Matthias/Rachel): Battle complete. Enemy neutralized. Excellent work.
The farmer jerked himself to his feet after being knocked up and down by the vicious Sky Uppercut, then guarded his injured head as the Blizzard came in and blasted both Miltank and Cherrim. Impact was a near blur of motion, even leaving wakes of himself as he moved. Finally, he placed his foot on Cherrim and kicked it off of his blade. Sorry, no cherries for your cereal, farmer boy. Miltank stumbled back as Ice Beam smashed into its large girth, then froze in place. Rachel patted her cheeks to get the juices going, and blasted the Miltank with highly lethal voltages. The ice receded. The Miltank fell and returned to the Pokéball along with Cherrim. The farmer grabbed his pitchfork and spit out one of his remaining teeth. "Y'all're...y'all're soooo meeeeeeean," he said before falling flat on his face. The scouters indicated that he wasn't dead, but he was going to be missing breakfast. His final Pokéball auto-deployed. A Tauros. "Don't give 'im a chance to strike, boys!" Rachel said, tossing in her replacement for Quiksilver, a Bronzong. "Registeel, Flash Cannon! Bronzong, Extrasensory!" Tauros didn't last long. Just when the team was preparing for another attack by the Mononoke, they fled into the floors, walls and ceiling. "I guess they don't stick around after the real enemy gets it," Rachel surmised before going into her bag for healing items. The battle was over. Time to recoup. ----- Team Pirates Synopsis (Renny/Charlotte/Shannon/Lola): Battle complete. Enemy defeated. Nice display of mad skillz, yo. "Orders recieved! Feel the love!" Lola gave another hearty hunk of motivation, boosting Pike with Helping Hand. Pike unleashed electrical hell, hitting soldier guy, one of his final Explouds, and Swampert, who weathered the electricity easy. Soldier guy raised his knife to issue a threat, then dropped it and followed it down. The knife didn't go into him, even though it really should have. That left one Exploud against Shannon's might. Shannon punted a Pokéball, deploying Roserade. "Florescence, another Leaf Blade. Roserade, Poison Jab." That more or less finished the battle right there. The final Exploud was defeated and the Mononoke fled. "He should heal up before moving on," Lola suggested, already working on getting everyone restored up. ----- For Both Teams Synopsis: Heal up, psyche up, move up. Go, go, go! After both of the maniacs were roughly pulled out of the mansion and the individual teams were restored to fighting fit form, the search of the next areas began. ----- Team Ninjas Synopsis Part 2 (Impact/Pierce/Matthias/Rachel/Chizuru): Used to be some kind of gathering room, I'd wager. Chizuru joins the party and helps the team engage the latest threat, a maniac with his fighting types and a lot of allied, if uncaptured, wild Pokémon. The first team passed through the door on the other side of the dining room and entered what could only be a dance off. The home team on the far side of the room consisted of some french guy with severe body odor and wearing a pink tutu. Too his sides stood two Machokes, similarly clad. Around those three were a good number of wild Pokémon. Gardevoir, Mismagius, Hypno, Gengar, Toxicroak, Skuntank, just so many. The home team seems to have just completed their challenge. "Now, mademoiselle. Let's see your skill, if you are so determined to pass." Their challenger was one of the most drop-dead knockouts anyone had ever seen. She radiated raw pheromone and looked awesome in her black kimono...wait, black kimono? "I'll uhhh...do my best," her beautiful voice came out haltingly. And then the woman began to dance. And dance, she did. It certainly wasn't ballet, but that wasn't a bad thing, not with her body. She was awesome, putting out the kind of moves that would turn all the heads in the metropolis night clubs. "I could do that," Rachel mumbled, referring to the woman provocative dancing. "If I wanted to. I just don't want to." "Bluegh! What kind of dancing is that!?" the french dancer demanded. "But my friend Rio told me that these were the kind of dance moves I'd need to land a husband," the woman said. Remembering Rio from the bank, everyone knew that it was definitely something Rio would say. "It's hideous and disgusting! I'm sorry but I will not let you pass with such a horrible display. Now go away or I shall taunt you a second time!" The woman looked thoughtful for a moment, then stomped the floor. Two small holes filled with netherworld energies appeared on the floor and ejected a tonfa each, which the woman caught and whirled before assuming a combat stance. "I didn't want it to have to come to violence, from I'm afraid I shall not turn back. Stand aside or be defeated." Rachel nodded to Impact before moving up to stand beside Chizuru. "Hey, girl, don't take 'em all by yourself. Let us give you a hand." "Huh? Oh, but-" "That guy's a bona fide maniac for sure, and that means he goes down," Rachel said, indicating the french dance instructor. "I think we met that Rio girl you mentioned earlier at the bank and you're half as strong as she is, I think we could really use each other's help here." "I see. You know Rio, huh?" the woman said before looking back towards the enemy. "My name is Chizuru. It's great to have some friends, at least temporarily." "I'm Rachel. This is Impact, our group leader. The guy with the clouds around him is Matthias. And that Pokémon trainer is Pierce. Pleasure's all ours, I'm sure." This was going to be a pretty rough fight. Even though only six Pokémon were engaging them at first, they were quite a step up from some yokel, his Pokémon and those ghosts. No Mononoke, fortunately. "Think that dance instructor can fight?" Rachel asked Chizuru. Chizuru shook her head. "With those dainty moves? He wouldn't be able to break a chair leg if he had a hammer." "Then it's just Pokémon, Pokémon, Pokémon until there's no more Pokémon." New Enemy Pokémon! Machoke (Fighting) [Male] x 2 Moves: Cross Chop / Dynamic Punch / Foresight / Focus Energy Ability: Guts Gardevoir (Psychic) [Female] Moves: Psychic / Magical Leaf / Hypnosis / Dream Eater Ability: Synchronize Gengar (Ghost/Poison) [Male] Moves: Hypnosis / Dream Eater / Destiny Bond / Nightmare Ability: Levitate Toxicroak (Poison/Fighting) [Male] Moves: Flatter / Sludge Bomb / Sucker Punch / Rain Dance Ability: Dry Skin Skuntank (Poison/Dark) [Female] Moves: Toxic / Night Slash / Flamethrower / Sludge Bomb Ability: Aftermath "Six Pokémon in all. Everyone be careful." ----- Team Pirates Synopsis Part 2 (Renny/Charlotte/Shannon/Lola): The team travels down the corridor and nearly gets a nasty surprise from just around the bend. Corridor tactics are a go-go. The door ahead lead into a long hallway. It extended a good thirty feet before bending ninety degrees to the left. Lola, who apparently didn't like scary places, stayed very close behind Renny. Renny was now in heaven. Lola shrieked when a large tail with a nasty pincer whipped around the bend and violated the air just inches from Renny's nose. Drapion, definitely. As the team advanced, they saw the Drapion itself and a Sableye. The window shattered behind them as a Houndoom broke through not unlike a Cerberus in Resident Evil, followed by a Dustox. "Unusually aggressive, ain't they?" Shannon asked noone in particular. Renny and Lola were facing the Drapion and Sableye while Charlotte and Shannon stared down the Houndoom and Dustox. "It'll be difficult to get around each other here," Lola said. "If we need to switch between foes on the other side, we'll have to do it as a one-for-one trade." Florescence gave Shannon a sharp look. Shannon nodded. "Florescence feels that there're more than just these four." "Outside?" Lola asked. Shannon nodded. "Other places too, probably. Too bad that because of this little space, we can only use one Pokémon. C'mon, let's take 'em out!" New Enemy Pokémon! Drapion (Poison/Dark) [Male] Moves: Toxic Spikes / Cross Poison / Crunch / Toxic Ability: Sniper Sableye (Dark/Ghost) [Female] Moves: Shadow Ball / Zen Headbutt / Confuse Ray / Dark Pulse Ability: Keen Eye Houndoom (Dark/Fire) [Female] Moves: Nasty Plot / Crunch / Flamethrower / Sunny Day Ability: Flash Fire Dustox (Bug/Poison) [Female] Moves: Bug Buzz / Toxic / Moonlight / Psybeam Ability: Shield Dust "Ugh. More fire type attack users," Shannon groaned. "And even bugs and poison. It's 'hate on that bitch Shannon' all around, ain't it?" "Quit grumpin' and get fightin'." "Aye-aye, Hello Nurse." "Phhhhhbbbb" Pierce's lungs almost burst from holding back laughter when he saw the french guy and his Machokes. Then he noticed Chizuru dancing and his jaw dropped. He stood transfixed, his head nodding to one side, as he watched the wonderful dance. Then he shook his head, snapping out of it. Focus, you idiot.
He tossed two pokeballs, calling forth Tyranitar and Metagross. "Let's get started, shall we? Everyone, cover your ears now. Metagross, Zen Headbutt on that Toxicroak. Tyranitar, Roar." Pierce said, plugging his ears with his fingers. The plan was to have Metagross down Toxicroak as a show of force, and have Tyranitar scare away the rest of the wild pokemon so they could concentrate on the french. Metagross' "head" was surrounded by a psychic aura and slammed into the Toxicroak, and Tyranitar let loose a powerful Roar that could be heard blocks away.

Impact winced slightly when he heard the roar -it didn't scare him when he heard it, but damn, it was loud- nodded approvingly when he realized what Metagross was doing, and then stood back for a second, considered what to best do next. He glanced at Rachel and Matt, then at Chizuru, though he tried not to linger too long on the latter.
"Right... I'm hoping Tyranitar can scare a few wilds away... but even if he doesn't we should still be focusing on the machokes. Primarily because Rachel uses steel types, and I'd prefer to finish this battle without casualties. But other than that, use your own judgement. I should be able to weaken one of them with the psychic rifle, maybe Rachel or Chirzuru, glad to have you with us, could follow up on that, and then whoever's left can eliminate the other one alongside our steel pokemon. Matt, you do what you want. You're our wild card. Let's do this." Having said his piece, he again activated his adrenaline surge, felt the familiar energy flow through him, made a note to research the side effects, then leveled the psychic rifle he had switched his previous weapon for at one of the machokes, waited until he was sure his steroids had taken effect, then fired. A barely-visible beam, shimmering with a faint purple tone was emitted from the futuristic-looking weapon's tip and hit Machoke in the head. Despite watching carefully for a counter-attack of any sort, as he attacked, Impact found that he could watch Chiruzu out of the corner of his eye. Primarily he wanted to know how she fought, and how effective she was, but any excuse to be staring at her was good enough for him. It was rare that he met an attractive woman who didn't personify something he abhorred, and he was quite grateful when it did happen. He really needed to meet this girl's family. |

*Post Battle*
------- Renny glared at the military psycho and smiled ever so briefly once he suffered karmic payback and dropped to the floor courtesy of Charlotte and her Manetric whom he nodded to with approval once everything fell into place. "Glad that's over with. You all did excellently, but we need to continue on shortly." "We should heal up before moving on." "Yes please! Togekiss will be ok, right?" Renny summoned his knocked out companion, cradling it as he waited for Lola to attend to it. Umbreon and Swampert waited patiently watching Renny, Swampert vigorously chewing his supply of seemingly unexhaustable leftovers and Umbreon wandering off to Shannon's Leafeon, also a female Eevee evolution, and engaged in random small talk. As much as the young trainer tried to suppress his worries for the sake of the team, the knife slash from that maniac had hit a little close to home, emotion welling up. Once Lola healed it up, Renny lunged in a hug, embracing the nurse with immense gratitude as Togekiss nuzzled her happily. "Thank you so much Lola. Togekiss means a lot to me. You're doing an incredible job. I'm glad to have you in the group." -------- *Battle* -------- Renny was normally not a huge fan of any scary location, but everyone's presence, including the incredibly heart warming and assuring Lola very close by made him feel much more invigorated and bolder, especially as he walked beside the strong Swampert, who easily dismissed the spooky location, snacking as if everything was just peachy. Suddenly the pincer lashed out merely inches from Renny's nose which he jumped back from completely startled as the group looked around and accustomed themselves to the appearing feral pokemons and discussing amongst themselves. "Ugh. More fire type attack users," Shannon groaned. "And even bugs and poison. It's 'hate on that bitch Shannon' all around, ain't it?" "I don't blame you for hating it. I can't send out my grass type safely either. Swampert, that Drapion! Earthqu--" Swampert lashed out instantly without needing a full set of orders, extremely protective and insulted by the cheap attack, as it stomped the floor powerfully, with bits of earth and stone ripping through the floor as they jutted out like daggers toward the offending wild pokemon. "Lola, can you switch with Shannon? Help out Charlotte's pokemon if you get the chance too. She would probably be more effective on this side!" -------------------- Swampert uses Earthquake focused on Drapion for super effective STABed damage (and extra 1.5 multiplier for focus?) EDIT: Forgot to mention that I suggested Lola and Shannon switch places. Also that Lola does Helping Hand on Charlotte's pokemon if possible (didn't know if people could switch and attack at the time) Last edited by Menarker; 03-13-2010 at 11:40 PM. |

"Ha, this is just beginning to get fun," Charlotte exclaimed. "Don't you worry Shannon, I'll handle the Houndoom, you have good reason to fear dogs at this point," Charlotte said as she drew a pokeball from her coat. What an ego!
She then released Spitz from his pokeball. He was feeling pretty confident about himself since he proved to useful in the last fight, and Charlotte herself seemed less hostile towards him at the moment. "Use dig on the Houndoom," she ordered, "and be quick." Spitz took that last sentiment to heart, and immediately started tearing at the ground with his paws, wasting no time in making something of a tunnel after tearing apart the floorboards. It was almost a blur how quickly it was done. |
