What? Seriously, what? Quote:
As for what was wrong... primarily target prioritization, rage use, use of healing. I mean, at least you didn't waste any items but still, dammit, man. Quote:
And, like I said, last opportunity. I couldn't care less what form you chose, normally, if not for the balancing factor. As it is, there's a balancing factor, and I have time now. So just tell me already, will you? And stop acting like it's some sort of big secret, 3 out of 6 people already know, and the other 3 don't really care. But I'm the only one who balances around here, and since I'm almost certain that balancing will be necessary, and since the 30th is gonna be the latest I can take care of that before uni starts again, and since I do believe you agreed to a deal whereby you take care of balancing yourselves (and since you really haven't been upholding your part of that), I feel quite justified in saying "let me know before the 30th". I might add "or you will regret it", BUT... TH4T'S H4RDLY N3C3SS4RY, 1S 1T? Edit: Oh, AB's on. Hey, AB. Do paradigm shifted pokebrids get rage from their pokemon's actions? Me and Men think they should (makes sense too), but up to you, ultimately. Last edited by Geminex; 12-25-2010 at 10:09 PM. |

Because as far as I can tell, I think my ideas are "suitable" to do the job with minimal risk. It'll do the job well enough. (The battle would have already ended if Bard's team didn't need more time and thus Drac posted more reinforcements). If you have an opposing idea that you think is better all the way around, I would love to hear that. If you got something debatable equal but with different tactics, then that's a matter of opinion but an entirely workable and valid one and we can discuss these sorts of things. But we can't discuss these things unless you give examples of "how much more damage can we inflict if we follow these steps instead" or "how much rage we'd be saving if we do the following instead". Of course, the fastest way to discuss this is basically for you to put forth what you would rather our next battle post to be and compare its expected input/output ratio to my battleplan above. In regards to the keeping promises: Mah boy, you have no idea.
In regards to the constructive criticism: Okay, sure. If you ask for it, gladly, I'll take apart your terrible decisions piece by piece and expose how exactly you're terrible. It will be fun. Just in Hong-Kong now, so I have millions of better things to do. Gimme a week. I'm glad you're planning to keep things balanced. I'll believe ti when I see it. >: ] |

Sure, Pokebrids, even Paradigm Shifted ones, can gain rage for their Pokemons.
Awfully sorry about this, I know I'm the GM, but what're the current rules for Paradigm Shifts? I was thinking of making it cost 15 Rage to maintain per turn. Thoughts? Anyways, Menarker-sama sent me a PM about a "Yuletide" omake since it is in the general Christmasy season in real time. So, I'll give it a shot. Here's hoping I still know how to be funny... Part 1 of 5: The First Night... Rachel: "So, what do you guys hope to get for Year End's Gratitude*?" Whitney: "I used to be that my brother would get me something every time, even when we didn't have any money." Rachel: "Aw, that's so sweet! What did you get him?" Whitney: "I promised to be his wife." Rachel/Harliette: "..." Whitney: "We were kids back then! I started to actually find nice things for him when I was old enough to not have an unhealthy affection for my own brother." Rachel: "Ah heh heh heh...right, then. How about you, Harliette?" Harliette: "Before I ran away from home, it was gifts from Lolianne and dad. But after that, it was just random shit from my boyfriend." Rachel: "You have a boyfriend?! I didn't know about this! Wait, who's Lolianne?" Harliette: "I don't exactly like to advertise those kinds of things, but yeah, we're still somehow a couple. Oh, and Lolianne is Lola's real name. She got teased for that name, so she kinda shorted it." Rachel: "She was teased? I think that name is beautiful." Harliette: "People used to call her Lolicon. Especially when she developed those massive jugs when she was only fourteen." Rachel: "Yeesh." Whitney: "When do we get to meet your boyfriend?" Harliette: "When he can dodge the feds long enough. He's on Police Chief Jenny's shit list." Rachel/Whitney: *nervous chuckle* Harliette: "Well, he hasn't been around for us to exchange presents so our gift exchange will be a little late, probably earlier next year." Rachel: "What do you exchange with him?" Harliette: *smirk* "Bodily fluids, usually." Rachel: "Hmmm...shouldn't you exchange something with Lola as well?" Harliette: "Nah. I don't exactly like her. Besides, she's got Renny now. The meddlesome little sister should just sit on the sidelines and let love blossom." Whitney: "Speaking of Lola..." *Lola nearly glomps Harliette to the ground* Harliette: "What the hell, Lola?!" Lola: "How come...urp...how come you didn't tell me...'bout yer boyfriend? We sistahs, girl! We sistahs!" Harliette: *sigh* "I see that Renny's gift for you was more of that Mollesk wine. Your breath reeks of it." Lola: "No! No, I won't have it! You're my sister! Absolutely muh-" *Lola stops bothering with slurring words and deeply kisses Harliette* Rachel: "Oh, wow!" Whitney: "I wonder if being attracted to my brother is really so ridiculous now?" *Lola stops kissing Harliette and makes a beeline for the nearest bathroom* Rachel: "Harliette, are you alright?" Harliette: *coughing* "She shoved her tongue down my throat." Whitney: "We should warn Renny to try and restrict your sister's access to Mollesk wine." Harliette: "Right, whatever. Knowing that pint-sized pervert, he'll get Lola drunk everyday. Who wouldn't want two hot sisters making out with each other?" That concludes the first of five parts. Need time to remember how to be funny. * Year End's Gratitude: Five nights of partying, gift giving, and bond strengthening. You basically celebrate this by being thankful to those who have done kindly unto you by doing kindly unto them. Honmyr's version of Christmas that combines a lot of the passion of Valentine's Day as it does bring lovers closer together. |

First of all, I'm liking the omake so far. Thank you. ^^ (I imagine the others will like it too when/if their characters get mentioned.)
As for this... Quote:
Neat. ^^ Anyhow, the current rule is that pokebrids are forced to use their entire supply of paradigm shift in a row for the cost of 60 rage. Which means at this point, that at any given time, a pokebrid has to have 60 rage in which for three straight turns, their base stats are doubled (it doesn't get negated by things that ignore buff like crits) and they have no weaknesses to status or types at the cost of not being able to gain rage for any of their own actions. They can dismiss their paradigm shift early according to what you told us during the first mission, but apparently that would mean they would have to pay 60 rage again to start up the entire process with whatever remaining time they had left. Your suggestion of being able to pay only for each individual turn at a cheaper cost was something I advocated several threads ago (although I insisted on the minimal 20 rage per turn, which would make it be equal to what it costs currently after the three turns are up.) Gem kinda rejected that though. So that said, I would be very happy if that rule was added but I'll be content enough to stay as is if it makes things better in the long run.
