Default NES questions

can any one tell me how to/what i need to fix my broken nes? heres the problem, it just blinks when i turn it on and when it dosent blink it just goes fuzzy/pixellated. any ideas?

When My NES blinks like that I clean the contacts with my cleaner cartridge.

Then I give the cartridge contacts a once over with a damp corner of a towel, letting them dry completely.

And then, when I am placeing the cartridge into the system, I blow across the connectors and slide the cart in holding it by the pinch place.

If it still blinks after that, then you can usually wiggle the cartridge side to side slowly and get the screen to appear normal. Hitting reset at that point should give you a normal start.

Word of caution the flashing power can blank saved games.

Edit > The Fuzz if it is more than pixelation could also be from wear and tear on the AV switch that hooks up to the TV from the NES. If you get the games to run unglitched and it still has static you can order a replacement AV switch thankfully they used the same on many NES sysems.
