Now that I'm hooked on The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords, I drew a picture of Green Link, my favorite Link.
(Is it just me or does my picture of Link kind of look like Edward from Fullmetal Alchemist?)

I don't think he could keep that hat on like that unless he had.. like, glue.
Make it more up. |

Love the shading on this piece, Celes. Very warm, bright colors and soft lighting.
*polite golf clap* Bravo!

Its the bangs. Those big bangs that go up and then down to frame his face. They give off the Ed-ness. See the Ed:
But its okay, Link has 'em too, although to a lesser extent: [Example was too big. Edited it out] And the hat does seem like its gonna fall off. It still looks good *joins into the polite golf clap* Bravo indeed. (You should've had horrible things being done to the evil fairy of annoying-ness, though...) All you other people: Yay! You're good too. I'm just tired, and don't feel like coming up with things to say about each individual one. Just uh... *gives a thumbs up* Last edited by MasterOfMagic; 04-02-2005 at 06:13 PM. LOOK at it!
He's not wearing a hat, you silly people. That's a tree in the background...

You are not reading this.

Those are kinda common in anime and manga. I'd offer an example, but I'm drawing a blank.

I agree with Zweihander. Though I have noticed that trees are also common in a lot of western cartoons and comic books too.
Not as much as in Japanese Manga or Anime, mind you, but still prevelant enough to mention, I feel. I really enjoy the cool blue of the sky, Celes. It has a summer quality to it. While it may still be sunny and warm outside, there is a slight chill in the air. Very nice. It's interesting how a color choice can envoke a certain emotion as opposed to another, isn't it?

Yeah I know Link's hat looks like it's about to fall off, I couldn't figure it out very well (I don't draw hats an aweful lot. :P ) But oh well. I was messing more with the eyes (I like this new style, I think I'll keep it) and the coloring.
and I'm glad you like the background. I've decided to start trying to make good backgrounds for once instead of just random colorful backgrounds. (I actually put my art class experience to good use for the background: closer=darker, more detailed; farther away=lighter, less detailed, smaller, closer to horizon. ) EDIT: and yeah, that makes sense. I've been doodling Ed a lot at school lately so I guess the bangs carried over when I drew Link.
