Nobody but the mods makes new comic discussion threads.

Some of these new topics are little more than spam as the first post. Oftentimes there's some huge contest to be the first person to get a thread in, so people just post some stupid five or six word blurb in hopes that they will be first.

What I'd like to see henceforth, and in fact what I expect to see henceforth, is a reasonable first post for the comic discussion thread so we can do away with the rivalry. If you posted a thread first but you had a shit post, expect your thread to be closed. Not merged, but outright closed. Possibly even deleted. Regardless of number of replies.

This is a new rule. Not a suggestion or a guideline. Additionally, I'm not asking for a detailed report; I am merely asking for more than a simple one liner - or as with our most recent thread, a simple three words.

Kurosen will be making the new discussion threads. So, don't do it anymore.

As far as I can tell, non-Kurosen individuals are still posting the comic discussion threads. I have to wonder if anyone besides me has actually read this.

You could try adding a notice to the Post Topic page in big, bold print.

Nah. It's gonna take some time to sink in, that's no problem. Brian's usually first to make the thread, all others are getting closed and people know not to post in them.

While I can somewhat understand the change, I wish this could be turned into a sort of automatic dealie rather than what it is now. I mean, having just one person (Brian) make the comic thread does cut down on 6-8 threads all dealing with the same comic, and the Ain't-It-Cool *FIRST* moron-fest.

However, I don't expect Brian to always be availble when the comic goes live, and there are a few night-hawks who actually might want to discuss the comic before Brian gets around to it. So, if its possible to have the forums make an automatic thread posting, it'd certainly be something worthwhile to do.

EDIT: Success. The mods have yielded to my "suggestion." My mind control skills are complete. I will dominate the forums and from there, the world.

EDIT: Note to self: Certify back-up brain is in place and ready for use. Also, destroy shiney.
