IC's accusation of SpacePope just tastes different in my ears from how his earlier accusation did. I think he's wrong this time. Can't explain it, just, it's jumping up and down throttling my eyeballs saying "pay attention!"

Also, on that note, I've been watching people and how they act differently with different roles. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that Mesden is a townie for once. I've seen her in every role except bodygaurd and serial killer, and I think I've seen enough of her to figure out what that would look like. She just looks townie to me.

Not in the what, but the how.

Pay attention to how people say things.

I only wasn�t booted because I mentioned it to our friendly neighborhood GO before disappearing.

I�ve caught up a little bit more, and Spacepope is looking more and more like a scapegoat.

I think somebody tricked Mesden into going after him, hoping to take out two birds with one stone; Mesden takes down the scapegoat, Mesden is taken down by the angry mob which is unhappy about being talked into lynching Spacepope, and since none of the mafiates have a direct hand in either death, they come out smelling like roses.

Well, reading all that, and the only thing I can conferm for myself is that I have no idea who anyone is. But this quote has stuck out in my mind for some reason:

Uh, if I remember correctly, B_real never did role-claim it, since doing so would would be a violation to the rules (No role-claiming secret roles). Since it was never an offical role-claim, and since that particular rule was stated back then, I'm seeing that as a scummy excuse for the No Lynch.

I didn't know that at the time that I voted no lynch, that came out a couple of pages later.

...The hell are you talking about? 1 mafiate>4 townies numbers wise. If for every 4 townies we get a mafiate, we WIN. It's as simple as that. And at this point, we've gotten one mafiate every 3 townies. (We've lost 6 townies and killed 2 mafiates. All other threats to the town are gone.)

You know what no Lynching will do? EVER?

It will NEVER EVER help us in ANY way depending on the situation. It mathematically CAN'T. It's been stated more than a dozen times that No Lynch helps NOTHING.

Let's ASSUME that B_Real's lynch killed two other townies. We would be down two townies, yes, but numerically, that's STILL keeping us ahead. As long as he wouldn't kill 4 townies, Lynching him was worth it. And no role is insane enough to wipe out 4 players at once.

No Lynch will only be useable as a Scum mechanic to stop lynching. And aside from MAYBE a VERY good PO roleclaim with 2 or more Mafiates to name, it's the town's greatest weapon.

It doesn't matter how you play, No Lynch=Scum tactic.

I can see no-lynch being usable in precisely one instance.

Five people left, one of whom is the PO, one of whom is the mafiate.

But by that point in a game, most people have already gotten used to no-lynch being useless and scummy.

But then why did you use it as an excuse in response to Mesden when she said that No Lynch was bad, even when you know it was a bad move to make?

I don't know, maybe my logics messed up at the moment. But as I see it, SpacePope is definitely seeming scummy to me.
