Atomik Age Update?
Just checking in; seeing as I've picked up on a noticeable drop-off in terms of Nuklear/Atomik Age coverage on this site.
So, is the release of Atomik Age still a possibility, or should I stop holding my breath at this point? Any news would be good news, I suppose. Sean Dwyer, Sean Dwyer |

I'm out.

I believe his last words on the subject were:
"I'll get to it EVENTUALLY" So i'd count on it, but lets wait for the official word.

I've commented elsewhere that I'm not sure if I even want to do Atomik Age any more. While there are more elements of that setting to explore, and they were left open for exploration in Nuklear Age for the purpose of tackling them at a later date, I can't shake the feeling that it'd boil down to doing a sequel for nothing more than the sake of doing a sequel.
If I revisit the setting and characters established in Nuklear Age, I need a solid reason to do so. Right now, I'm not feeling it.

I just want to say that I support your decision, Brian. I think the only reason you should ever do something is because you want to, and not because you are forced to do so. Still, I hope that you'll regain the impetus to visit Atomik Age again one day in the future. Until then, I'm sure you'll be focusing on other projects that do interest you, so I'll be happy about it.

However...
If you don't ever write a sequel to Nuklear Age in novel format, might there be a short comic and/or collaborative effort to explore some of those open elements? Just wondering.
Either way, I think Nuklear Age stands alone just fine anyhow. Not that a sequel wouldn't totally kick ass. |

It's not an impossibility.
