Default New rule: backseat modding

List of people who are allowed to do moderating:

1. Mods and admins
List of people who aren't:
Doc ock rokc, ever

Do not try to do their job for them. Do feel free to voice your opinion on a thread you think is inappropriate, but leave actual decisions to the forum staff. If you're absolutely sure a thread or post should be the subject of their attention, report it.

This does not include things like:
"Hey, double posting's frowned upon here"
"Your post seems a bit spammy to me"
"Dude, calling him an asshole's not cool"
"Could you please use a spell-checker?"

although in some cases we'd still prefer if you just reported such things.

It explicitly includes statements like:
"You're gonna get sooo warned/banned for this"
"Whoa, that's spam dude" (this one especially in grey areas like Off Topic)
"omg you double posted quick delete it I myself my friend got banned for this too"
"That's against the forum rules! I'll report you, prepare to be banned!"

and we'll take you around the back alley if you make them.

Opinions and FYI's are cool, helping out a new guy is explicitly wanted, but the actual decisions on what constitutes spam, who gets warned etc. are ours to make. If you can't make a distinction between the two, keep it to yourself.
