Does it really matter?

So You think it's fun when the GM tells You the team was annihilated cause You missed one enemy or killing stuff twice cause someone edited his post. Well just great isn't it. That's why no one should edit posts, it makes game no fun for others. I think the post should be reverted to the original state, and consider one Golemon being fine, and one crippled.

Or just to make you all wrong I'll make Assassimon kill ALL of the remaining golemons before he dedigivolved(cause it's fine to edit old posts)

Okay, stop with the arguing.

Seriously.

I may not be the GM, but I do know when things start getting to digivolve to Unfunmon.

rapter200, there was a summary in the previous thread, if that helps. Wizardcat's version is more accurate than mine.

But both versions make ME being wrong, while it's not MY fault of the situation being unclear!

I won't stop arguing until the situation is cleared out. It's just unfair that cause there is more of you against me, you want me to join the "crime".
I really appreciate Lunaknight took my post under account when editing his own, but He shouldn't edit the post in the first place. I can bet none of You reads more than few posts back, and only of those yet unread, so why should I be expected to read an edited post that I already had marked as read, and was a few pages back. Why should I take those changes under account?

BTW: It's Monday tomorrow so I'll be gone, maybe I can steal some time to check the case develops.

Sigh.

Naqel, when the opportunity to hear cases on the legality of segregation was first starting to filter its way up to the Supreme Court, a lot of potential precedent-setters were denied the chance to be heard because the Supreme Court knew it had to get it right the first time. When Plessy v. Ferguson got to them they jumped on it; You can easily say that transportation is separate-but-equal as long as both races end up at the same destination alive, and then you can expand that mindset to wherever else it's needed.

That might seem off-the-wall, but it proves a vital point: When you make a stand on an issue, make sure it's an issue where you clearly have a good case. It's the same principle that inspired Brown v. BoE; A shit ton of places were far away from equal, but pointing out how badly the schools were functioning both engendered a lot of sympathy and clearly illustrated what needed to be fixed.

Lunaknight's post was edited 7 minutes after it was made. You then posted two hours after that edit. While I can see the larger point you're arguing for, it was not a drastic enough retcon for you to put up such a stink about. The only evident aftermath of the edit was that you didn't notice it and posted using the wrong set of identifiers. There is not enough 'chaos' to justify all of the cattitude.

Just drop it. After work I'm going to come back and end the thread, and I might get around to starting up the next one time permitting.

Naqel, Lunas original post was only there for 7 minutes, and was edited because only 2 minutes before, you posted. Some times that happens, it is not a crime nor is it anyones fault. Luna simply saw your post had ninja'd his and edited accordingly in order to make it better. It was perfectly acceptable to do so.

And really, the only part that EVER needed changing was this part;

Quote:
Thought Assassimon as He released a 'Garrotte Shower' finishing the Golemon he weaken earlier.
That one line is the only descrepancy in the whole thing and it's yours. If you had simply said "ah shit, made a mistake" and deleted that single line when it had been pointed out to you everything would've been perfectly fine and we still wouldn't be arguing this, but you seemed determined not to do that.

You seem to want to keep arguing the point, but I will not do so further. I pointed out a simple inconsistancy, a simple mistake that anyone could've made and it became a full blown argument and it's really not worth discussing any further.

EDIT; Ninja'd.

I'm secretly worried that all the pieces of the Golemon will gather together to form...some big huge thing.
