Default Handle Changing Power For Mods?

Pre-Note: I asked Mashirosen if this was possible, and he told me it wasn't, and told me to contact Pierre, whom still hasn't PMed me back. So don't worry Mashirosen, I didn't blow you off.

Anyway...

When I first signed up on the forums, my "S" key got jammed or something when I was creating my handle, and so now I've got "Otaku on". slightly aboveaverage man also had the same thing happen with his spacebar key, according to him. So I was wondering if it could be made possible for moderators(since there's only two admin.s, Brian and Pierre, whom don't really dabble in the affairs of the board much[and even then I don't know if it's a power available to admin.s]) to change the handles of people who either A. Messed up during registration or B. Simply just want a new handle(or even both)?

The reason I think it would be helpful is because those of us who use the same handle for just about every forum we sign up for, we like to be more-or-less known as the same person across the 'Net. Hence why we use the same E-mail as well. But, for the people who's computers were acting idiotic when we registered for this forum and we didn't catch the flaw until later, we're pretty much screwed. So, that's why I was wondering if there was a way for have name-changing power available to the mods.

There isnt, someone else wanted to change there name but Mash told him to just 'throw' it away and make a new one. If youve managed to get 200 posts in such a short time, I don't think the post thing is holding you back.

Just log off, make a new account as Otaku son (although I like Otaku on personally, sounds like a really geeky Power Rangers transformation line) and resume your business, nobody will be the wiser, especially if you keep the same avatar and sig.

Two things, and I'm sorry if they're seen as off-topic.

BMHadoken - I can visualize the power-up sequence now, thanks for shoving that into my mind.

OtakuSon - If you are running Windows, there's an on-screen keyboard feature. Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Accessibility -> On-Screen Keyboard.

It lets you click with your mouse as if you were typing on a keyboard. Personally, I see no benefit in using this feature, but you did mention your keyboard key was stuck. If you HAD to register then and there without either getting the keyboard fixed or trying another computer, then perhaps such a tool would have been helpful.

I know, I know - it's already been done. Still, felt like passing that along.

No, it was just I was typing so fast I didn't realize the "S" key didn't click until after I had already registered. And, BMHadoken, the problem is that my E-mail address would still be in he board's database, and therefore I couldn't register under the same E-mail again. Which, relates back into the whole, "some people use the same E-mail and handle for every forum they register so the 'Net knows who they are."

If you have another e-mail, then change the Otaku on account to that one.

EDIT: I only suggest this b/c I did it, I was going to be MagicHateBall. couldn't get the account working, and decided I didn't like the name, so now I'm MasterOfMagic.

Thanks, I just did that. So, this is my final post under this name. However, I still think it would be easier on everyone if the ability for mods(or even admin. if they lack that ability) to change handles was possible.
