I think Rabbit's not so bad. He's something like Harding from "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest."

And Tigger is McMurphy, he comes to the Hundred Acre Wood/Asylum later on, and adds a new bouncy trouncy fun fun fun element to this environment, which Rabbit is uncomfortable with. But Rabbit/Harding respects Tigger/McMurphy.

And Piglet is Billy with his little stutter and nervousness.


God damn this movie needs to be made.

There's nothing wrong with Rabbit acting the way he does. His 'friends' are all a bunch of lazy mooches who want to benefit from his hard work. The only one who actually deserves any sympathy from him is Eeyore, because he actually tries to work. At least he tries to do something with his life.

Actually, the only one who really mooches is Pooh. Tigger has a tendency to bounce all of Rabbit's vegetables straight into the ground, but he doesn't actually eat them. Piglet is pretty self-sufficient, in his own way, and the two get along pretty well IIRC. Owl has little contact with him, and when he does, it's always to give advice. Kanga and Roo are off to the side somewhere, and Eeyore, the poor guy, I don't think has even ever seen the inside of Rabbit's house.

Then, of course, there's CR, but he gets along with everyone.



EDIT: @ Fifth: But we have two shiny new mods to help move it all now. Between the two of them, they're on almost as much as I am! XD

I'm teasing, of course, but maybe an OT forum still would be useful if the borders were well-defined for at least what didn't belong in General. If it would help cut the dumping, you could always just make a new rule that OT threads got fewer posts to work with than before, so that there's really no incentive to put a General-worthy thread in there.

All right, I'll concede some of your points based on the fact I haven't thought about the Hundred-Acre wood for nearly a decade.

However, that still gives him a perfectly good excuse for being a dick to Tigger, because Tigger ruins all of Rabbit's hard work.

Since Rabbit is the only one who actually grows food, though, it's fairly safe to assume that he's the only one who's working on keeping the area's food supply going. No one else seems to be concerned with keeping those things going, except maybe the bees. But Honey (or Hunney, as it is colloquially known in those parts) should not be the basis of an entire diet. Rabbit has the responsibility of keeping things going. Of course he's going to be a bit on edge as a result.

Hey now. Rabbit took care of a little baby blue bird or something and cared for it during all that time. He was sad having to let her go.

And if people kept stealing my food, breaking my house and honey pots, and wouldn't leave me in peace, I'd be pissed off too.

Be that as it may, this is indeed a fun topic. Rabbit is a grouch, but you're right that he's kinda the only responsible one. At least he's not an emo donkey.
