Am I the only person here disturbed by tthe use of "half-breed" in this thread?

How would you feel if someone you loved only stayed with you because they're turned on by people of your ethnic origin?

I don't think that would be so bad. Yeah that's shallow but I don't care. Unless you want a long-term relationship that seems like a great time.

I agree with Althor. Half-Oriental women are pretty hot (especialy Vietnamese, Korean and Japenese). I think it's because they tend to get the asian detail with the white form. Tall, and big breasted, with nice legs; but they get the oriental detail like hair and eyes. I also like smart girls and they tend to be very smart. Plus they have really sexy voices.

I accept the other things (intellegance is more of a steriotype but I wont go into that). But voices have more to do with your main language then ethnic background. The girl I mentioned before might be asian but I couldn't tell by her voice. She sounded the same as any other girl in the US.

One guy was saying that its no different from prefferring strawberry to chocolate ice cream. I dunno bout you, but to me theres a huge difference between people and ice cream.
Also, the hair-ism, breast-ism point. Thats not less wrong. staying with someone based on a quality like that alone is not by any means a good thing.
Oh, and the reason the girls in Final Fantasy didn't start looking Asian until X and X-2 is because those were the first ones to actually have an asian setting, as opposed to European.

Xivilized where did that come from? its been annoying me all the way through reading this it was a realy funny point in something that i saw quite recently. man thats gonna piss me off all night. was it in family guy?

personly i see saying that a preference to asians is racist is like saying that the fact that i'm hetrosexual means that i have something against gays. its different because theres nothing malicious ment by it. in my opinion anyway

it is only racist if you only date for ethnic background. For example is if I dated her only because she was asian and wouldn't date someone thats white because they are white. Other wise its just a tendancy. Like if a girl had a thing for men with nice hair doesn't mean she wouldn't date a bald man.

If you deny someone something they would otherwise have rightfully received because of their race, then it's racial discrimination.

Otherwise, it's personal preference.

And personally, I'd go for girls based on how they look, not what race they are. I'm not too fond of black girls in general, but I know there are some beautiful women among them.

my preferences are more based on personality, but to be honest there are attractive individuals in every race (except Orc). Due to this, making a huge generalization based on race is purely fallacious, and thus should be considered carefully, if not avoided. I personally have a thing for Elvish women (yes, I know they don't exist, sue me if you care so much!), and Drow women in particular because they combine elvish grace with cute evilness.

ummm...yeah, who doesn't like like long, beautiful, Asian legs?

Ahh, but no one said you were staying with someone based on JUST that inparticular physical quality.

Instead of thinking of it when you're dating someone, think of it as what kind of porn you look at (as that racial preference in this context is based purely on lust, and people rarely date purely on lust... but they do look at porn on lust alone). If someone doesn't like black porn, but loves asian porn, is that in some way racist against black women/men or racist for asian women/men (you know, depending on which gender you're looking at)?

Edit: Also, I like Mash's new avatar. I just noticed it a few minutes ago and realized this is about the only thread I can comment on it in, seeming as I don't want to start a whole new one or post just to be like "cool avatar".

That's a great way to put it. It's easy to have racial preference when you look at a picture or somebod from a distance. But when the person is right there with yoyu personality stands out a lot more.
