I mostly use Kilik, as I could never remember that one girl who uses spear-type weapons.
And what was that one guy who copies everyone? Kinda looks like a floating eye during character selection. I managed to beat the game using him once.

Charade is the mimic.
Voldo is madness. I'm sure he has the strongest normal-difficulty AI. Whenever inferno rolled him, it was an oh-shit-I'm-screwed moment. Normal AI can't beat me anymore, not even Voldo, and on hard several characters are as strong or stronger. I simply cannot pull off Calamity Symphony. I spent a long time in practice mode trying to use it and it just wouldn't take. If the inputs flowed into eachother, it'd be reasonable, but going from diagonal to opposite diagonal and later from down-back to down-forward just doesn't make any damn sense.

Ecurt- CURSE YOU AND YOUR CANE ATTACK! ARG!
Of course, after that I layed the smackdown with Cervantes on my GC. He then challenged me to a bout on his PS2, claiming that he'd have the advantage, yet I won about 3 times to his four. Haha! He ate Cervantes doom that day, but I think I only won because of my Dr. Pepper/Mountain Dew combo boost. Otherwise, he wins more than I do (barely).

I used to wipe the floor with Nightmare in SC1 for the DC.
Now I use opposite styles. I'm great with Talim and Maxi, and I'm not half bad with Kilik. Maxi has a certain combo that will wipe the floor with Kilik easily. The person I play against will almost always swing as his first move with Kilik, then I'll charge in and start doing the "Super Duper Stick Boy Beat Down". With Talim, I like to backstab people. (Jump up, Daggers down! ) Kilik is good when I'm feeling random and I mash buttons less methodically than with the other two. (I don't mash buttons so much as I press them in a random pattern.)

My great strength with cervantes was and is i can use him in a varity of ways, although i usually prefer the Geo-Dae opener. Depending on who i am playing i usually let them win a round to find their style then i go to work on them. For Example I was playing your Stereotypical "hey I am good at this game because I can whup on esay AI with Mitsurgi/Rapheal by using the same three moves..." I will Disect this flawless Bout...
First move: I take to the sky shadow flare style and come down on him like a hammer Second Move: cervantes caperioa style kick while hes down third Move : as he comes at me with his standard slash i pirate tactics him. Fourth Move : COMBO: this is my Signiture when i play anybody I use the unbloakable Low launcer Grab him using my non "intercepting" air grab then slash down on him for the hok up for my favirote move Fifth move: GEo DAe RAy. by this time hes mad so he plays again and i decide to just go uber cheap on him figuring the way he was treating the new kids to play it like crap. I beat him seven straight times without paying a red cent. He was supposodly undeafeted aginst the people he was playing and i think i converted some people to cervantes Yay! |

Ivy's fancy throws? I've pulled them off a few times... Even against an active computer. Quite helpful. But I still pick Raphael over all of them. I mean, he's got attitude, a rapier, and the grace to go with it. Plus, it's fun to take down some opponents in Weapon Master mode in a single blow.

"So...you want me to knock you out?" Sophitia: "*laughs* Did I overdo it?" "I can't be defeated yet!" Cassandra: "UGH! You're definitly not my type!" Cervantes: "Come with me to hell!" |

I was always more of a Nightmare/Siegfried player, though I'm of the opinion that Nightmare was toned down a bit for SC II. Still, for a good balance of raw power, intimidation, range, and speed, Nightmare is the best there is. Now, if only he weren't quite so predictable...

Two stances that auto-dodge, eh? How about one of them whatchacallits... Guard Impact? Where you throw the opponent off balance? Try falling into one, only to be immediately attacked, and reverse it.
