I started out with Link, but I switched to Taki after I figured out how to do her jump move. She's kinda loud for a ninja though.

Talim is fearsome. My sisters favorite character, and the AI's no slouch with her either. (I've pushed it up one step from normal, for the modes where you can choose AI level.) My sister likes that one move where she lunges at you and shouts "Antare!" (Or is it "Antarei?") It reminds me of Speedy Gonzalas. "Antare antare ariba ariba!"

Astaroth is nasty on the higher difficulty levels. My performance vs. him varies, if I can get around his slow attacks and start hitting him, he's screwed. Often I'll score a perfect. Other times, it seems like I'm always running right into his axe.

I hate the destined battle for Taki. Mitsurugi is madness! It used to be he'd kill me 8-10 times in a row before I could get a KO in, and 4 or more rounds more before I could string together two out of three and go on to Inferno. I swear I lose a quarter of my health every time I fall to the ground, he just keeps beating on me. I'm very proud of how I've improved on that; twice in a row now I've gone 2 out of 3 in the first round (Inferno on second round, too. He kicks my ass in the automatic mirror match, though.)

I tried Maxi for the first time since I got his profile, and I got all the way to Inferno without using a single continue (Inferno fed me 4 or 5 helpings of my own ass, though.) I tried him again, and it turns out I just got lucky. I can take Astaroth with him easy, though.

I always end up using astroroth or ivy. Nothing is better then watching someone scoff at your for picking astroroth then pounding them with almost a chain of throws.

I have a friend who's a beast with necrid.

I always used Spawn. His floating moves let me tear my friends apart. I was in the process of mastering Maxi when I got bored with it. Good thing I only borrowed my friend's copy.

I can play pretty well with most characters. My favorites include Nightmare, Cervantes, Mitsurugi, and Maxi. I am absolutely horrible playing Talim, Ivy, and Taki, but that's just me

I do well with Talim and Cassandra but I kick ass like no other with Raphael. My roommate (who gets her jollies by playing on Ultra-Hard mode) is literally unbeatable with Talim. I've never been great at fighting games (with the exception of Mortal Kombat on sega genesis, NO ONE defeats Sub-Zero, no one) so I don't play SCII a lot, however if I played more I think I'd like to learn to play Ivy. I'd kick ass with her if I could ever pull of any of her moves.

CERVANTES ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!! with enough practice with cervantes one can be nigh unbeatable. I know most people think just get him on defense and hes done but thats what pirates tactci/scheme are for. And You have to admit Storm Flare and Geo Dae Ray and flying dutchman are some of the most awesome moves in the game. also if your are quick you can pull of some of the sickest stuff imaginable. I should know i got third place at an invitational with this guy. oh and if you wanted to know the first place guy used yoshimitsu (beleive it.)

I agree with Exodus: Cervantes is one of the best there is. Using Cervantes, I can usually beat my friends about 70% of the time, but against the AI...well, I'm not that great with the pirate when it comes to AI. But he's still awesome

I can win 90% of the time against anyone I know with Talim, Link, Voldo, or Maxi. Most veryone else I'm ok with, but I cannot for the life of me play as Cassandra, Sophitia, or Lizardman. I use Cervantes just for his charge move with the stabbing and the throwing, which I use to throw people off the edge. Voldo is the ultimate character if played right. Yoshimitsu is pretty funny too, I usually resort to bouncing and healing. SC2 is actually the first and probably the only fighting game I will ever own, it was just too good to pass up.

I dunno about anyone else, call me generic, but I liked Link. Course I didn't like him for his moves, just the one throw he uses. I went through probably 90% of the game with ring outs cause of him. Course when it comes to moves, I'm with Ivy all the way. But to save the life of me, I can not pull off her one move where she throws you up in the air, her sword breaks apart, and attacks you from like 20 directions. I've only done it once by accident, but its the sweetest move in the game. Cervantes is kewl, he was my favorite in the first one, and I'm pretty good with Seung Mina (hope that's how you spell it)

Personally I liked Link, too. It was kinda weird, but seriously I suck with all the male characters except Link and Maxi. Though strangely I rocked with Seung Mina, Talim, Cassandra, Sophitia, and Ivy.
