Oh man, you know what? I would happily have Rob Liefeld draw everything forever if it meant never having to look at Peter Chung's bullshit ever again. I get why Liefeld's stuff looks terrible because, you know, he can't draw at all. Chung's obviously got a more-than-solid handle on the artform and consciously chooses to make everything look as disgusting as possible, then sexualizes it to the same extent Liefeld does and I just feel queasy everytime it ever crosses my field of vision.

Yeah, bad art through intentional stylistic choices always trumps bad art through ineptitude. In the latter, there's room for improvement. Hell, even though it's slight, Liefeld has shown some signs of improving artistically over the years.
Huh. I guess he does put in more effort than Greg Land. How about that. All it took was Peter Chung to make it clear. Liefeld still sucks, though.

This just in: Rob Liefeld learns to draw!
Well, there's something off about this guy's torso, and the arms just don't fit right, and also that gun is bent, and he appears to have shot his left leg off above the knee, but it's a massive improvement from his earlier, mockable work. There's not even his trademark masturbatory flurry of lines. Well, it could be because it's a painting. Maybe he just got a colorist good enough to make him look good. Of course I'm not going to read the thing. The mere fact that he's still writing Youngblood tells us more than we want to know about his writing skills. But I'm still blown away.

So apparently Baraka/Deadpool was actually Rob Liefields initial vision.
Is there anything this guy does not suck at? |
