Tracing on Comics and also Rob Liefeld Sucks
Have you guys even noticed any of it?
I mean... really... i find it weird.. some of it, i can handle. But if tracing skills is all that it takes to go on and get a major comic deal, hell, i know a lot of people who could write a Batman, Superman, X-men, Spiderman story worth a fuck and trace over some images to get an approval with the big guys at the office... C'mon... you can trace porn for a comic book?! |

"Greg Land" has replaced the word "trace" as a verb in my circles. I think it's hilarious. And fascinating, that both of the two most famous artists in the history of comics are famous for sucking so hard. (The other one is Rob Liefeld.)
That Land keeps getting work is less hilarious and more sad, though. I'm glad I don't keep up with Marvel comics. >_>

I cannot read a single fucking thing the Landroid "draws".
It wouldn't be nearly so bad if half the time he wasn't tracing the shit that he'd already traced a dozen times before.

Greg Land produces the second most akward looking 'professional' comics I've ever seen. First being Rob Liefeld. But really, aside from the tracing that doesn't always fit, there is the wierd ass coloring trying to make it look, I dunno, like a stylized photograph. That makes it look really damn weird.

I assume he uses some photoshop filters to "color" his pictures "photorealistically".

At least Rob "The King" Liefeld tries.

That's probably the best joke I've heard all day. Because there is no way that could possibly be serious.

No, to try a little, you have to first give a fuck.
Rob Liefeld clearly could not give less of a fuck.

This was always one of my favorites.
While arguably not exactly tracing, it's pretty damn close. There's another one I seem to recall with Randy Orton as Superboy Prime but I can't seem to find it anywhere.
