My Xbox is still broken, so I made like the lazy sunuvapig that I am and went to play it at my pal Luke's house.

Tower mode sucks balls. Out of curiosity, in Soul Cal III is there any alternative way to unlock the items you get for tower mode? Kind of like how in Brawl you could just play a monstrous amount of matches instead? Because screw you tower mode.

ANOTHER EDIT: They might want to fix the item breaking system. It works fairly well for most of the main fighters, who get their items realistically damaged or torn when their armor is broken, but its very different for custom characters with whom the entire item is destroyed and removed. It meant that when I was using a custom character who had a robe over most of their body, they were reduced to underwear halfway through the battle, which wouldn't have been so bad if my friends had not been playing while their notoriously strict parents watched. It got kind of awkward.

SCARY EDIT: What happens when you break Ivy's Armor?

In SCIII, you could either play the RPG or play a huge amount of battles but I believe there were exclusive items for each.

And I believe breaking Ivy's armor simply breaks her arm protection and...Maybe shows her belly.

In SC4 getting 30 ingame honors will unlock all of the CAC parts for purchase I think.

I haven't played much, so what exactly are ingame honors? Are they like Achievements?

Basically yeah. Most achievements correspond to honors but some don't. You can check how many honors you've got in game.

How hard are they to get? Are they like measurements of overall progress like "Get 2,000 KOs" or "Get 100 Ring outs" or are they specific tasks like "Ring out an enemy during the last second of the game"?

I suck even harder at this that I did at SCII, but I can answer this because my son managed it at the weekend!

Play arcade mode using Yoda. Beat The Apprentice (stage 8 IIRC) to unlock him. Then play arcade using The Apprentice. This time through you'll meet Yoda in stage 8. Beat him.

I've still got a blank square on the character select screen between Yoda and The Apprentice. Is that where Vader is found on the PS3, or do I still have another character to unlock?

Oooh, another question. Is Lizardman any less left out and forgotten in this version? I know in SC II he was just a lame bonus character and in SC III he was kind of/sort of a main character (as far as I know there is no "Soul of Lizardman" and his move list seems less extensive than the other fighters). Did they expand on his move list from the last game at all?

When you break Ivy's middle armour a bra pops into existance where there previously was none. It's like some kind of anti-nudity airbag.

And for the other question, I never played Lizardman in the other games so I don't know. His ending video is kinda stupid, but his story is expanded upon a little. Also, you can give him what appears to be a bowler hat or fedora (I haven't played in a while, so I forget which) in character creator, which makes him infinitely more fun to play as.
