Nuklear Age in your local li-bary...
Hey Brian, about a month ago my sister started working in an administrative position at a local library, and a while back she had asked me to list off a few library friendly graphic novels for them to pick up so her boss could expand the graphic novel section. I was also thinking of recommending they pick up Nuklear Age since it's in my top five all-time books... and also the kids, they love them superheroes!
Well anyway, I didn't know if NA had gotten picked up by any libraries yet (to your knowledge) and if that happening is in any way a big deal, but if you don't mind I'd like to recommend they get a copy. On a completely irrelevant note, have you done any book tour type of things outside the con circuit yet? Book store signings, that kind of thing? Just curious.

Libraries = free exposure so why not!
I haven't done much in way of promotion because I've been waiting for the second, non-typo edition. Once that's in print, I'm going to take things up a notch.

...sorry. I think book-signing tours and that sort of thing would be a great idea once the 'Turbo Edition' is available. If you were to come to Alaska* (HA! that's hilarious.) I'd be first in line. Even if getting there involved violence. Also, I'm tempted to harass my local library into getting Nuklear Age. I probably won't, but someone should. *"Alaska" refers here to Anchorage, for Alaska has only two or three genuine cities and Anchorage is the only one worth anything. |

if and when you do a book signing tour around america then might i suggest you do a book signing in Charleston (not that i live there or anything but my sister does) due to the fact that it has a beach, its the oldest city in South Carolina and stuff for you to enjoy (gasp! not like you have enough beach time in florida). But if you want to take a more inside the country tour and stay off the coast than i suggest you visit the greenville/spartanburg area of SouthCarolina due to it being the THIRD most metropolitan area in south carolina right after Columbia (the state capital right smack dab in the middle of the state) and Charlsleton. Myrtle Beach comes in a close 4th due to it being a well known beach spot.

Hmm... Dragon Con in Atlanta is in early September. It's a frickin' huge con. Lots of exposure.

If I had the money to buy and donate a copy of Nuklear Age, I'd do it. Sadly I do not.
However I have convienced a broke friend to get a copy when he gets money. So if he ever gets out of Vana'diel(FF-XI for thouse of you who don't know) and makes some cash, then our libray will have a copy when he's done with it. So in a way our libray will have one eventually thanks to me, and my friend, and his money, that he doesn't have.

Typos eh? I have a large vocabulary, three months of free time, and I'm willing to work for free or on a meager payment. I'm rooting for the latter of course.
