I smell contradiction

i smell contradiction, and it smells fishy.
in comic 504, BM specifically states:

:bmage: this calls for some fast teleporty-stabbity action

but earlier, in gurgu volcano, he states that he doesn't have a teleport spell. so i am asking how this is possible?

Not having a teleport spell was funny in one situation.

Haivng a teleport spell was funnier in another.
