Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay: Interest Thread
The title is self explanatory enough: for now this thread is just to figure out who might be interested in joining a game of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay.
There's nothing set yet, obviously, but unless a better option comes up, the game would be played using one single book from 1986 I have here. I'm probably forgetting several things, but here goes...

I am so in on this it's not even funny. Not that I've read any Warhammer novels, but I've played the game for eight years. I call being a Wood Elf waywatcher, if there will be such an option.

I'm glad to hear that!
Since my book only covers the Old World, Wood Elves are way in. Yet, waywatchers aren't listed as a career in there (altough there's Road Warden, but somehow I don't think that's the same thing) but like I mentionned, the book is expandable if there's better.

Aw, I would join... Only warhammer game I have played though is 90k, and I don't know anything about the Old World. If someone were to explain it I'd join though.

Well, I don't think the old book would apply as we're well into sixth edition.
However, while I would join, I personally don't think this would work. Not unless we got to be Hero/Lord units, because single units (Like a single Glade Guard, or a single Lotheran Sea Guard) can't stand up to many of the stuff we'd want to fight. The only real "unique" characters are the Heroes/Lords, and then a properly equipped one can tear many whole units apart.

Well, we could each be assigned a Hero then. We would have a ton of choices anyway. Just out of the Wood Elves we would have Scaw the Falconer, Orion and (the girl, can't remember her name) The King and Queen in the Woods, that special flag bearer character, treemen, and a few others.

Those are special characters.
I meant Heroes/Lords. Like a High Elf Highborn. Who we then name, equip, so on so forth.

That's also a good idea. Just go to www.games-workshop.com to find lists of magic items and equipment. They also have full bestiaries of all of the armies. And they have info on the Old World including maps and history.

So... the current WFRP is... based on armies?
I guess there's not much I can do. Edit: I was had. This can work.
