Default BF2 errors

I installed bf2 yesterday, and everything was working fine, until the doors of hell opened up their demons on my computer. Now, anytime i try to play BF, it acts like the cd is not in the drive. When I try to start bf from My Computer, using the actual disk drive, I get: Drive could not be read due to an I/O error.

WTF?

Also, I thought about using my system restore disk and just reinstalling, but when I put in a blank cd to burn all my documents to, I got the same error. What is wrong with my cd drives? One is a plextor cd-rw/dvd, teh other a dvd-rw/cd. Neither will read the disk anymore.

Umm... It has nothing to do with Battlefield 2, it has to do with your CD drives... so, go to the computer help thread, here .

I had a problem like that before where my CD-ROM drive wouldn't read any CDs at all.
...As I kept tinkering with the comp and then opening up the case, I discovered that it wasn't fully plugged in. So I plugged it in and it worked again. So there's that idea. o.O;

So if anyone else has problems like that, try making sure your CD drives are fully plugged in inside the case. >.>
