Truth about Trees
Dumb debate, but one I am curious about. The women in my office are arguing about when is the best time to take your Christmas Tree down. I said maybe like a day or two after New Year's, but was told I was a dumb man *grunt* and knew nothing of the holiday etiquite needed in such a debate. Clearly I was told, trees come down the day after Christmas (or various days near there) but never after New Year's or else it looks tacky. What say the masses?

I'm lazy, so a few days after New Years is ok.

about 15 seconds after the cats hit the dodgy leg, causing it to collapse (on Christmas morning, usually) to the floor in a shower of tinsel, flames, smoke and a hubcap rolling away... oh and a mocking 'Meow'

So was I... but you never know. Let's say I personally know several people, including myself, whom I would not put past to actually decorate their tree with a hubcap or two. And I certainly don't put it past a mad Scotsman.
To get on topic, around here we usually wait for the tree to disintegrate by itself, or until it gets up and walks out from sheer boredom. Whichever comes first. (Never actually have much of a tree in the first place.) |
