8 Bit Theater - WoW Guild (?)
Hey there, people.
Now, as far as I'm aware, 8BT does not have a Guild on WoW. I could easily be wrong, and I'm waiting to be corrected. However, if that is the case, I think it was about time it was fixed. I really like 8BT. I really like WoW. I -don't- like annoying people who grudingly get along with you because you're the rez guy and hes the tankzor. What I do like is people I can relate to. As I said before, I like 8BT. So do you guys. Who would have thought we'd have so much in common? I just want a group of people I can hang out with and just have fun. Raids, helping out the newbies, quests and the like. Just a cool community of 8BT fans to hang out with. Its like a vision. Although It looks like a good idea, not all plans get off the ground (Damn you, Wright brothers!). In order for us to even get started on an idea like this, We need a number of people to sign that crazy parchment that creates the guild. If you like the idea of hanging out with a community of 8BT fans such as yourself, then we need to work out a couple of things. Firstly - Alliance or Horde? While I enjoy the formality of Stormwind, and the shiney shiney armour of the stormwind militia, I cannot deny that I feel more enticed to scream 'FOR THE HORDE!'. Plus, Dwarves are really fat gnomes in disguise. Oh noes! (Edit: Should we form the 8BT WoW guild and then choose to accept the VGCats challenge, the faction will be The Alliance.) Secondly - Server. Now, I am aware that both CAD and VGcats have guilds on the same server, but I fear for the stability of the Dark Iron server with both of those massing armies on either side. (I believe CAD have already had a server crash during one of their mass raids... Coincedence!? I think Not!) So, some server suggestions would be nice. (Edit: Should we form the 8BT WoW guild and then choose to accept the VGCats challenge, the server will be set to Greymane.) With that sorted, thats pretty much it - Leave me some feedback, tell me what you think. I personally leap and bound with merriment at the thought of an 8BT group of awesomeness, but my dancing fetish can't persuade the masses. (Until the professor finishes my hypno-shoes... Then I will RULE THE WORLD!) Still, Do tell me what you think. Parrallathan P.s. Parra <3 8BT. Brian for Superior Planetary Rulership. Last edited by Parrallathan; 08-20-2005 at 06:29 PM. |

The VGCats Challenge!
I read just a moment ago that a representitive from the Cult of Kruglor has made an official challenge to 8BT WoW players on the Greymane server, thusly saving the Dark Iron server from dying completely, and still allowing us to continue a Webcomic War! (Friends on friends, of course - I love VG, although its on a PVE server, so the challenge is kind of... boring. still.) I say, should we decide to form this guild, we take up their challenge. Of course, I hold this to a vote - I don't speak for everyone, and wouldn't like to. (Until I become dictator of Russia.)
Parra. O, btw, Cult of Kruglor = teh suxor LOL LOL!!!11 P.s. Apologies for the double post. Lack of sleep = carelessness. SUPER Edit: I've been monitoring the Greymane server for a while now, and it's becoming apparent that even without 8BT, the server population is maxed out. I will talk to the CoK, see if we can do anything about it. Last edited by Parrallathan; 08-20-2005 at 06:47 PM. |

O, btw, double posting = teh dumbzorz. please be mindful of this in the future.
I return to WoW in a week, and i intend on taking the CoK up on thier challenge on the Greymane server. its my hope that we can get a good sized guild going, as i know theres a number of people on the NPF who play WoW. the problem in forming an NPF group, at least in my experience, is two fold. One, when WoW started, people were scattered to the wind in the way-too-many servers. getting people to roll up another alt on another server to play with another group of people got tedious pretty quickly. this was made worse by problem number two: the NPF players seem to be rather unorganized. KefkaTaran and i treid getting an 8-bit super group going in CoH, but we only managed to get maybe three or four NPF'ers (other than ourselves) to join up. perhaps this can change, i'm certainly willing to give it a try; although not as leader, things don't seem to go well when i'm in command.

Aw, an emo-bender.

I would love to accept the challenge handed to us by the VGC forumites. Also, I think it'd be good for all us NPFers who've reached endgame to start anew, with friends and a common enemy. It would be most enjoyable, methinks.
Now, as for a name, I'm not sure. "The Light Warriors" immediately came to mind, but that sounds rather generic to me. Maybe we could incorporate our nuklear-power sources into the guild name somehow?

i'm down with the light/dark warriors, or simply NPF. or even 8-Bit. but whatever.
also, according to preliminary intel, the CoK (hahaha...cok...) have 65 characters already. now, i dono if those are 65 individual players, or four people with 16 alts each; but in any case we're gonna need re-enforcements. ill post something on the 8-bit Live Journal group asking for recruits, anyone have any other ideas? edit: confirmed 82 characters, 72 players

Count me in, at least for as much time as I can spare apart from all my other alts. I've rolled up a druid on Greymane. Look up "Dev" if that guild gets off the ground.

Before anyone jumps onto greymane, we're looking into moving the fight to another server, because Greymane is already full and thee's no way in hell we'd both fit on that server.

Whatchu talkin' 'bout? ... well yeah, actually, I see that it's listed on the realm status as a queued server, but I was able to hop right on last night and roll up, no problems. I don't really think it's been filled with players already, since it was listed as "new" on my list when I switched. They capped Eredar too--another server I play on--for no apparent reason for a while, even though our population was only at "medium". They might want to save the space for character transfers or something.
