The"hot coffee" mod for the play station 2 and why im pissed now.....
Fist things first to all the pervs out there i will not tell you how to do the mod you have the ability to find out your self use it.
Ok the hot coffee mod for the gamers that have been out of the loop lately. A few months ago, Barton Waterduck discovered a few sections of unused code in the PS2 version of San An for the girlfriend "missions". With a bit of memory hacking and such, he discovered these removed portions of mission scripting were to not only put the camera inside the girlfriends' house when you stop in for "coffee", but also to make a little mini-game of it. Now, with the magic of user-editable files on the PC, PatrickW was able to unlock the uncensored "coffee" segments for all to play with. well the reason im pissed now is the fact that my best friend unlocked this mod we got a good kick outta it sure but the fun stoped after his mom found this out his mom thinks all thoes politions are right that video games are bad bla bla bla the only reason that she lets him play games is that he buyes em him self now when she found out it was the straw that broke the mules back she not only snaped the game in half (whitch to me is a decacration of a good game) she took his ps2 now the thing is the thing the way the creator of the Grand Theft Auto series reacted to the appearance of a "Hot Coffee" mod that has stirred all this media interest. The company said the mod is the work of a "determined group of hackers who have gone to significant trouble to alter scenes in the official version of the game." *cough* bull crap *cough* Rock Star said that "hackers" violated the software user agreement, to create the mod "by disassembling and then combining, recompiling and altering the game's source code". A rep for the company told the INQUIRER that Rock Star admires and respects the creative work of the mod communitiy, but there are obviously fears that the appearance of the hot coffee mod, with its associated sex scenes, may be confused in the minds of the censors with the work of the company itself. Rock Star claimed: "The hot coffee scenes cannot be created without intentional and significant technical modifications and reverse engineering of the game's source code." It said it is working on securing the source code, to prevent the game from "being altered by the 'hot coffee' modification". The company also said it is working "diligently" to assist the Entertainment Software Rating Board's investigations into the the circumstances surrounding the "hot coffee" mod of the game. "We remain confident that the ESRB assigned Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas the correct rating, "M" (Mature 17+)," it says. New York based rep Rodney Walker couldn't deny that the mod may unlock code unused in the official version of the game, though he kept insisting the mod was the work of third party modders and had nothing to do with Rock Star. "If you see the poster on the wall in the mod, then that may be from us," he said. As to whether a whole mini-game involving humping your girlfriends to gain extra points was created by Rockstar, Rodders wouldn't comment, other than to state that the mod was created by modders. The naughty modders claim they simply unlocked code that was unused in the offical version of the game. "I can't comment on behalf of the mod community," said Rodney. Quite often. but as anyone in the gaming world knows a ps2 disk cannot be modded like a pc disc, so how in the hell did the mod become avaible on the ps2 it didnt that means it was availbe from the start so rock star games had this thing on from the start so rock star games expected some one to find this crap of a mod sooner or later so thank you rock star games you not only helped those sons of bitches politicians wage there unholy war agansts games you have fucked over thousands of gamers across this nation so rock star games (-_-),,!,, you now have my everlasting hatred. many thanks to the web sites where i got my info and the gta games rule its just the pricks that put the shit on games that only advance the politicians goals to take games off the shelves ohhh and i forgot anyone else got any opinions on this crap.

Zero, please....
http://www.nuklearforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=11 Please. I can't even read all of that because it's so horrendously run on, unpunctuated, and the like... Please. Read the rules, understand we're not picking on you. But going into a completely un-discussional rant isnt for a forum; its' for Myspace blogs.

actually, There is such a thing as Game Shark . . . the whole point of such devices is to modify gaming and more over "godify" characters. If the programming was hidden in the PC version, most likely it would be in the PS2 version, and an avid modder would be able to create a code to access "hot coffee" through something similar to the Game Shark.
off topic: thanks for at least putting paragraphs in, that made it a lot easier to read.

naw dude in the origanal post people found the unused code in the ps2 game like you said its is availbe in the ps2 version . That means the sex stuff was in the game from the start you may be able to change some aspects of the game but the source code can't be changed so easly unless it was already there, its all over the blogs on the internet, game shark may be able to help but you have to do things that are alot harder than a game shark hack or a cheat code to get that stuff i would tell you but I said I would not in the first post.

Zero, remember, the period and the comma are both your friends, be nice to them, please. Anyway, the issue is a bit more complicated (not really, but I sound smarter that way). Sure, the material was there to begain with, but it was inaccessable without the mod, so the M rating really should have sufficed. Of course, the fact that the material was there in the first place is cause for at least a small bit of alarm. Although I still think that the whole issue is being blown out of proportion by members of both sides of the debate.

The solution:
A) Rockstar admits that one or more of its programmers, and not the company itself, is/are perv(s). B) Said perv(s) would be fired. C) Code would be removed. D) All copies in stores would be recalled. E) New, hot coffee-less copies would be issued. Problem fucking solved. Self-serving politician bastards. -A

Even the ZERO apparently forgot what a language is, and this topic is friggin old, would like to address one thing that was just said:
Why should it have to be removed? What's wrong with the content? 99% of players can't even access it. It's like the computer that says TW@T in the original GTA. It shouldn't be removed for any reason. Yeah--AO and M are far apart, arent they. 17 and 18. Ooooh! *waves fingers* They're already doing what you said, though. Stupidly.

It won't.
I was at my local GameStop the other day, picking up a copy of Death Jr. The people behind me were asking about GTA:SA and the nice clerk behind the counter said it's going to be re-released on the 30th for XBox. He also said there was no news about the PS2 version though. |
