Final Fantasy RP Chapter 3
ooc-Characters who'd been hiding I'm assuming somehow snuck aboard, those in captivity (Ripel, Solitary Confinement Cell, Blyr is in a cell with Chocobos) are still captive, and those on N'Revat's side is just...on. If there's anyone who wants to jump in (after signing up) this may be a good time to.
The airship had been repaired, and prisoners of any importance or use were forced to board. General Ciaran then loaded the vehicle with his best engineers, warriors, pilots and mages, sending the remaining troops to escort the other prisoners to POW camps. Flying under the flag of Rab, Ciaran flew straight towards Rab's capitol, Fein, confident they wouldn't be found out. The lone airship may have been unusual, but he doubted that the enemy would be any suspicious. Shortly after landing inside Fein the guard was dispatched to welcome to the evidently victorious Rab forces. Instead, they were the ones to be greeted. Ciaran's troops fired upon the guard, which was forced to retreat. The N'Revat general then offered a ultimatum as his soldiers unloaded from the ship. "Surrender, or die in a fiery blaze." Simple, yes, but also to the point. The answer came soon, and as expected Rab chose to resist. Quickly moving the N'Revat forces set fire to some of the surrounding buildings, to split Rab's attention and confuse the enemy. N'Revat may have been outnumbered this time, but they lacked the emotional connections that their enemy had to the city. Plus, they had one secret weapon. Dezil had the set up most of the Magitek Armors with magic nullification fields and even a few with the new magic absorbtion field. With most of Fein's Guard being made up of Summoners and Mages it would pretty much be a one sided battle. |

Arc looked out from a cubby hole in the airship. He had to choose NOW.
Either he disabled the N'Revat guns, and quite possibly get himself and Carolina killed, or make himself an improptu bodyguard for the white mages. A pair of throwing knives dropped into his hands. He could see a specific hose on one of the airship's guns, and some on the few magiteks he could see. Those wouldn't be hard to cut... By contradiction, the white mages were basically right in front of the ship entrance. They wouldn't be hard to reach and kill...

Due to his recent excellence in battle adn with his new anti-magic fields, he had been promoted to Commander of the Magitek Armor forces. He waved forward squads to head down streets, burning and blasting everything in their way. His personal squad were made up of the same men that had been his test pilots that day when they first battled the Rab, and he was proud of the fact that it was his new system that was leading them to victory over the Rab forces. He looked back at the airship, amazed even by himself for the job he did getting it running again in the time required, but he had done it. Now the N'Revat technalogical might was crushing the magical forces of the Rab armies, thanks to him. Today was a good day.
"Alright men, it's time we showed the Rab a thing or two about what the N'Revat can do. Form up on me and let's move out! We march for battle!" Soon the Magitek had reached full run and were charging through the burning streets to the front lines of combat as the N'Revat forces fought their way to the Capital Building.

Cecil was back on the airship (Where I think the white mages would be... Not sure if that's where SS meant), watching the battle from atop on the deck. Every now and then Cecil checked on the turrets and cannons of the airship, just to see how they were doing.

Ever since I was put into my cell I've been through hell. Silence, unable to hear or know what's happening in the outside world. Silent, unable to be heard, no way to let anyone know I was here. I couldn't stand being unable to do a single thing, except rest.
It was horrible...but now I had regained enough strength to break free. Breathing heavily he stood, facing one of the walls as he cracked his knuckles. Focusing his strength into his left arm he mimicked an ogre's punch to break it down. For the most part the ship was empty of the N'Revat, so when he made a new 'door' leading into the hallway beside his cell there were none to see him escape. Good thing too, he was in no shape to fight anyone. Staggering into someone's quarter's he stole a uniform. It was little loose, but he didn't care, he just didn't want to be caught. At least he didn't happen upon a white mage's room. Making sure his features were hidden under his costume, he started down the hall towards where the prisoners were being held. |

"Apprentice Virgil" smiled as the master led them out in a fighting wedge. The hardest part was reining his power in so that he wouldn't stand out too much. As a result, most of the attack magics he used were weaker than those of his compatriots, earning him a few baleful stares, but thankfully not discovery.
The only problem is that they were being taken further and further away from the ship. 'Virgil" had briefly contemplated obliterating the vessel in mid-air, but had aborted the idea. If they activated their antimagic fields, they would all die together. And Dante was no patriot, not a "I regret I have but one life to give" person. He was the kind of guy who would rather make the other guy die for his, rather than anything else. A summoner flanked by a small squad of red wizards appeared before them. Instantly, the master wizard reduced the summoner to a pile of smoldering ash before he could compelte his invocation. The red mages must have been inexperienced and unskilled in war, because they actually attempted a melee counterattack. Unfortunately, they forgot that the concept of "murder in melee" only applied if the assaulter in question actually survived the closing to melee. The group of six apprentices were more than enough to overwhelm their puny defenses. Five men charged the hexagonal arrangement. Countless hunks of bloody meat decorated the streets seconds later. "Virgil" slaughtered them dispassionately. He wasn't being paid to keep them alive, after all. The master ordered an advance. They were nearing the Capitol building. |

(( My deal right now's that I can't really work in Naras..not in a military setting, I guess. I suppose I'm just waiting for a random small town somewhere to crop up so I can pop in, but that's starting to look like a long way off... ))

General Ciaran Atropos walked up to the deck of the ship with his hands crossed behind his back and a smirk on his face. This was the first time he had left the amenities of his personal quarters since he settled in at the outset of the trip to Fein, but, although he hated to leave the comfort of his room, he couldn't very well miss the battle. It would be irresponsible... besides, he loved the smell of blood and charred bodies.
He took a deep breath as he walked up next to Cecil, surveying the damage to the city. "Wonderful site, isn't it?" (OOC: We are in the middle of a city... it wouldn't be a military setting really... just a war setting, because of Ciaran attacking it. He could be passing through Fein selling his potions or whatever when the N'Revat attacked.)

Due to the fact that I had been in solitary confinement there had been little need for me to be under guard. They had assumed that I was too weak to struggle or do anything anyway, they had underestimated me and that was their mistake.
However, the same could not be said for my fellow captives. They were (except for the General) still placed under a guard of a couple knights. Even should I be able to free them we would be absolutely mutilated once we reached outside. "Rats..." He hadn't thought about what he would do once he got here, and Ripel had no method of fighting the knights, except a pair of unloaded guns that he had found in the quarters. There was no way to deceive them either, he had heard of Ciaran and met him face to face, and he knew that the man wasn't stupid. He knew an important battle was going on, and he doubted that the general would not place only his best and most loyal troops on a ship with limited space. With that in mind he guessed that trying to deceive that guard without any proof would only get him killed, and fighting them, even if he won, would result in an alarm possibly setting off. He needed an idea, he needed help, but on this ship he doubted he could get any. All he could do was formulate a plan. Damn...what can I possibly do? |

Back at the cliff, in the end of the 2 chapter:
"Now all we have to do is get on board that ship, Luce, and we have won." Elyse said to Luce turning her face to him. Then suddenly, someone grabbed them from behind and knocked them out. An hour later they awoke in a room, which was part of the ship. It was a servant room. And the door was locked. They had food, water and a quite nice room with a double layered bunker though. An hour later, when they had gotten bored, Elyse stated to pick the lock. With no luck though and soon the ship landed next to the town of Fein. And now Elyse successfully picked the lock. They were not wearing the uniforms. Now they had some totally new clothes, with no association to their own clothes. These were some ordinary peasant clothes. |
