Matrix: Path of Neo
Ok I got this game wed and not only did I enjoy two days of fighting bliss (I barely put the controler down) but I am going on my second round in master mode. After that I am playing it on 'the One' mode. I love this game.
Oh and the alternate ending they added just for the game was suprisingly satisfying. Though nothing beats the brothers (Atari 2800 pixelated versions) explaining the new ending. All the agent smiths pile on top of each other and make a giant agent smith, complete with glasses.

First: Change the taglines you made to {spoiler} and {/spoiler}, because color=black is still visible on some computers, where as the spoiler tag is completely matching.
Second: I hated the ending, actually. It didn't make sense, like how Super Smith 'roared', or why he was so sluggish, or why he even bothered to make himself so massive in the first place. And, really, there was no 'ending change', it was just "Well, Neo dies, but first he fights SUPER SMIIITHHHHH!!!" The game itself, however, was gods-bedamned enjoyable, albeit a few glitches aside, too shiny, and buggy. I really enjoyed the Jack Thompson scene which you will find out about relatively shortly.

well they figured every game needs a final boss. What I loved was that they gave you escourt mission that suprisingly didn't suck. The AI was actually smart enough not to walk straight into a group of enemies. Heck sometimes they actually helped you.
Only thing I really hated was the whole, knock smith into train, thing. That was way more trouble then it was worth. I would have preffered it if I just had to beat him up then they go to a cutscene of him getting hit.

I switched the control scheme over to Gamma as per so many suggestions, but damn this game has a steep learning curve.
However, I'm just finishing the moderately crappy training missions now, and things certainly are kung-fu-licious.

I enjoyed the game, especially the last couple of fights. [spoiler] I absolutely loved dealing out utter pwnage to Smith rather than being railroaded into something like the movie, and Mecha-Smith was awesome. Yes he didn't fit, but who the fuck cares? We already know how it's really supposed to end; Mecha-Smith was just pure, giant robot fun. Plus seeing the Smiths "pilot" him brought back fond sentai memories. The only thing that fight was missing was Smith saying "Mr. Anderson," in a really deep voice, or doing a real Godzilla roar (though he did at least roar). A transformation sequence, with the different limbs actually flying together sentai-style would have been awesome too. [/spoilers]
I wasn't too happy with the combat system as a whole. It's been awhile, but I remember enjoying fighting in Enter the Matrix more. I also found the camera to be a bit of a pain sometimes. Locating enemies or objectives occasionally got extremely difficult. On the whole though, it was a great game.

I find it funny that the hardest mission for me thus far has been the shooting training. XD
The controls are pretty hard to pick up, but once you learn what everything does, the game becomes total bliss. It's such great fun to flail enemies around like ragdolls into their comrades with just a few button presses. The single enemy stringing combos look awesome as well. I think I'm so hooked to this game because it gives me what I need from every game: constant upgrades. It never feels too dull, because as soon as you've used up the thrill of one move, a new one is garunteed by the end of the level. And even if the move isn't as fun as you'd have hoped, you've still got more Focus to create longer, cooler combos with. And I haven't even gotten that far in the game |

Yeah, one thing I reccomend to all. You know that part where they give you the option of finding out what happened to Neo if he would have escaped? Yeah, fuck it. Just turn around and go back as soon as you're outside the building. It'll ask if you want to continue or leave with the Agents. Just go. It's more trouble than it's worth.

Okay, how in the hell do you kill the Merovingian's damn TK girl!?
I can save the Exile, and I can win the TK fight. But the moment it goes hand-to-hand, I get completely 100% pwned.

What you do is make sure that until it goes hand to hand, keep your health as high as possible.
Once it goes hand-to-hand, take weapons off the wall, and abuse bullet-time like a redheaded stepchild. Also, even though it's hand-to-hand, you still do more damage when you pick up the large objects and shoot them at her. She can't block them, so they're almost guaranteed to do damage. And make sure your partner stays alive, since her scream makes the opponent drop her guard.

I have a signature. It's a really cool one, too. It's so awesome, you'd pull your eyes out and punch your mother. Sadly, these rules state that my signature is just too darned big. Too much awesome for such a small space. Oh well. You can still punch your mother...if you want... Fifth and Krylo made me do it. http://www.animecubed.com/billy/user...sigs/60266.jpg Be the Ultimate Ninja! Play Billy Vs. SNAKEMAN today! |

The TK sheild that chick throws up is a damage-feedback. You really can't hit her, or you end up doing no damage, destroying your melee weapon, and fucking it all up. Wait for Banshee as I call her to scream. It disrupts the attack.
