I'm ashamed that such a powerful and superior phenomenon like Firefox could be bastardised by this thread.
But, yes--firefox is, really, really good.

Well, I use it here at school, and it runs kinda slow(though my computer takes 5 minutes to boot up, so it might be an extension of that). My teacher says the main reasion we use it is because so few people use, there are almost no viruses formated to affect it.

Eh, each browser has it's specific strengths and weaknesses. Firefox is a pretty good browser, it's just bloated as all hell and really starts to drag down older systems. It practically makes my computer unusable after about an hour or so. In fact, I prefer to use Opera instead. It's a lot lighter and quicker than Firefox.

As a browser, its fine enough. However, it isn't all that great when it comes to downloading. At least for dial-up, which I have. (The only other option is sat, which really isn't an option.)
Anyway, if you pause you might as well cancel. If you lose connection, Firefox will *NEVER* pick up where it left off (unlike IE). Also, I liked how IE's cache could be found & you'd be able to acquire various files such as Mov files without having the registered version of Quicktime. SWB

Indeed, Firefox's download manger leaves a lot to be desired.

With a few extensions and tweaks, it's still vastly superior.
And, I don't understand the bloated comment. Without any extras, firefox runs incredibly smoothly.

I might be willing to try Opera if not for the fact that all my bookmarks are on firefox. Just getting me to change from IE to firefox took changing from an old computer to a new one. I am too stubborn to use anything but ff, at this point.

With Opera, I haven't had the problems I do with Firefox.
