Pants
Due to having a cold, lying in bed for hours at a time, I couldn't help but think about the different way people put their pants on.
It started with the comment that went somewhere along the lines of, "Even so and so puts their pants on one leg at a time." At that point I realized that I didn't. It's more comfortable to just pull it up quickly, at least for me. It's also easier to rip pants if you're not paying attention with the one leg method, and accidentally put your leg somewhere it doesn't belong. Then, I asked myself, "Do people zip up first, or do they button first?" I suppose that it would make sense to zip up first, but out of habit I usually button up first. Now, with jeans that's okay, no harm done, but doing so with trousers (infinitely more comfortable than denim, at the cost of their durability) just leads having to by new trousers sooner. Buttoning up first also leads to forgetting to zip up your fly. Anyone else care to share their thoughts? |

Button, zip, buckle in that order, sometimes skipping the zip and buckle, but that is at home when I just don't care. I start my pants one leg at a time kinda bunched up around my ankles then pull 'em up, shorts are a step in thing.
The real question I think is how do you pull off a shirt? Do you do that wierd chick thing with the 2 arm cross-over, or do you do the grab the neck and rip it off, the one arm out then over or some other method I can't think of?

Actually, I pull off a one arm cross-over. Usually with my right hand I grab the bottom left front of my shirt then just pull it out over my arm and head. There, it just dangles on my shoulder/upper arm until I let it slide off or throw it to the side.

Right leg, left leg, adjust for boxers, button and zip.
I just can't imagine doing the last in reverse order. Also: This thread is sheer off-topic awesome.

Cross armed thing. >.> It's easier than it looks!
And, pfft, PANTS. Skirts=Less hassle =p. But, all in all, to save the world from wrinkly terribleness, I hold pants up and facing butt side towards me, then Left leg-->Right Leg-->Zip-->Button-->Adjust. Now then, I'm just waiting for this place to go in the direction of, oh: "Now how do you take your pants off?"

But, no, seriously, it's more passionate that way. I like passion and chamomile tea and another random italicized word at the end of the day. |

Off? Unbuckle, unbutton, unzip, then shake them off with your legs and leave them in a magled pile on the floor. If this takes more than a few seconds your doing something wrong.

Anyway, pants or no pants, it doesn't really matter. And Mirai, I've buttoned my pants then zipped it up before, it's not that different (to me anyway.) If you don't care, just get sweatpants. |
