Why doesn't BM use some sort of Magic Restoring Potion... EVER?
Also if he's an all-powerful magician, why does he always resort to stabbing/blowing up things all the time?

Well that and FF doesn't have magic potions, it has ethers, which are significantly harder to obtain than potions. Rarely buyable, and in the games you can they are generally only in the late game. They are usually obtained through Stealing, meaning BM having access to them would rely on Thief giving him them. Somewhat unlikely.

Not that unlikely, but Thief will make another contract that will make him benefit hugely from the transaction. Although BM may not be as gullible as Fighter in this sense… though being near death may make BM accept despite that.
Though chances are anything rare will be worth alot of money so Thief might well of sold them.

Plotholes are for favor make comic more funny. Like in first ones Hadoken was used nearly directly to own party and still only everything else was destroyed than Black Mage and Fighter.
