What games have you sunk hours into?
We've all had a game, or games which we thought were so awesome that we sunk hundreds of hours into them, getting everything we could out of it.
One of these games for me was Final Fantasy Tactics: Advance. It was an okay SRPG, but what really hooked me was the job system. I spent over 150 hours just messing around with the job system, combining classes, mastering them and levelling them. I had a Viera with all her jobs totally mastered. I had a Gunner/Thief who could totally break the game with a 100% accurate Stopshot/EXP Steal. It took me ages to build him like that. It's not like I had anything else to do, having screwed myself out of being able to get Cid. The other game was Jump Ultimate Stars. The combination of deck construction and online play made me put so many hours into it that I broke the game's playtime counter. (It stops counting after 99 hours). Using different combinations of koma and layouts and getting the perfect support/special combo was just addicitive stuff. We need more NPF people playing this. Well I've gone on enough. Share your stories of games you spent hundreds of hours on for whatever reason. |

FFX: 200+ hours.
FFXII: 43 hours currently, at Stilshrine of Miriam. Dark cloud: 6 save files, all complete, each run through taking 24 hours. 1 save including completed Demon shaft at 50 hours. Dark Chronicle: 200+ hours. Second playthrough at 50 hours. GTA3, Vice City and San Andreas: Innumerable play throughs, uncountable hours. GoW: At least 10 plays through at 9 hours average. The average racing game (Burnouts 2-4, Wipeout Pure): 24 hours each. Most other games I play don't have internal clocks, but I've probably put more hours into games in general than anything else in my life. And that makes me sound like such a nerd now...

I know MMOs probably don't count too much, but...
3,030 hours, 47 minutes and 9 seconds and counting playing FFXI. I also have fought every Monster Arena fight in FFX.. and won! :p I think I had 120+ hours on that. |

FFVII. Did you expect something else? :p This includes a non-stop run through the game from beginning to end. (save for getting up to get food/caffiene/bathroom). Not recommended. @_@
Still love the game, though. XD Other game would include Chrono Cross, FFX, Chrono Trigger, Breath of Fire III, FFVIII, and FFIII (DS). Sadly, not FFVI, due to not having it. >_<

Advance Wars : I've sunk at least 600 hours into the series.
Soul Calibur : Well over 500 hours. Final Fantasy VI : I'm not sure on a hour amount, but I do know that I've beaten it at least eight times. Super Mario World : For the first three years or so of owning a SNES, this was the only game that I bothered to play (This was when I was three or so, though). KOTOR II: I've beaten the game twelve times, the final one being on hard without using any equipment save for the plasma torch at the start. |

I think around 120 hours of Star Ocean 2, maybe more if you count some of the playthroughs I never finished.
Halo and Halo 2- easily three or four hundred hours between both campaign and multiplayer (not live, just split screen). I have a lot of hours on Final Fantasy Tactics, also.
