Random Lockups

For a while now my computer has been locking up randomly for some reason i haven't figured out. I thought that the new RAM i installed was causing it, so i swapped it out with my old ram and that seemed to stop it. Then however, it came back worse than ever.

So i restarted in safe mode and it stopped happening. Then i got the idea to run system restore and rolled my windows hard drive back a week. This seems to have fixed it for now, but if anyone has a solution that would fix it if it starts happening again, that would be awesome. Thanks
