Resident Evil 5: That one big spoiler

Out from the latest famitsu, this ad shows that one major chracter from the Resident Evil story is bitting the dust. The game itself seems to be coming together just fine... even though today it's far from a "Survival Horror" title...

The start didn't seem very menacing. They didn't actually attack, most of the time. And it seems waaaaay different from the older ones. Then again, RE4 was a bit different from the others already. Also? "I NEED YOUR HELP!" "Shut up."

To the spoiler;

I doubt it. I bet it's a ploy of some sort. You don't just kill off a main character off screen for no reason. Besides, remember the golden rule; If there's no body, then they didn't die. I have yet to see a body.

As to the game;

It plays like Resi 4, it has zombie Ganados, gunfights a-plenty, it undoubtedly has enough cheesy dialogue to make it a proper Resi game and it has Wesker it in. I'm sold.

I kinda hope they mix in some of the plot developments from Resident Evil: Degeneration. I mean the whole WilPharma being bought by a mysterious pharmaceuticals company after what happens in the movie just screams Wesker.

This video actually doesn't make me feel optimistic about Resi 5... I mean, it totally would, except that you seem to be forced to use Sheva for most if not all of the game (correct me if I'm wrong). Co-op seems to be the current trend in games, and that's totally fine, except that Sheva, when AI-controlled, seems like the kind of dead-weight character you have to cart around on escort missions.

-There was a moment there where Chris used the "help" command do get a zombie off of her. She should, theoretically, be able to do the same thing for Chris, but there are times in the video where she's just standing around looking like an idiot while Chris is about to get his face eaten.
-Watch between 2:14-2:20... Sheva runs in front of Chris' line of machine gun fire and then stands perfectly still off to the side while all hell breaks loose around them.
-At around 4:26, Chris smashes a barrel and Sheva grabs whatever was inside before Chris can. I'm not sure if she was supposed to, or if you can get it back from her, but a useless AI that is also a resource hog? No thanks.
-I'm not sure what happened at 8:52. Sheva... umm, BURPS Chris? Maybe? And then he's good enough to run and heal himself while Sheva essentially kites the chainsaw monster to their position.
-Speaking of the chainsaw bit, she kinda spins around a few times and shoots a fallen zombie in the head, ignoring the thing next to her, and while Chris saves her from it, he is distracted long enough to be DECAPITATED.

If I play this, it will be online-only. I refuse to play a multi-hour escort mission. That's just bullshit. I mean... you CAN have a friend play in place of the AI, right? Sorry, I haven't been following this game much.

It was bullets for her gun. She picked it up, but it seems to be that she needs those more than the machine gun toting Chris in that section.

That looks to be a first aid spray. If she's in the vicinity, she gets healed as well from it.

But I'm agreeing with the other points. The AI for the most part, is kinda dumb. It treats her like a zombie except for a few circumstances and basically just comes after you. I'm not liking the RE series as of late.

Except that they used the first aid spray a few other times, and in that specific case she just hit him in the chest and he got up, good as new.
