This is a new Gerard Butler movie!
It's called "Gamer."
It's set in the future where a sort of MMO death-match kinda game has become more awesome than Starcraft in Korea. The game is called Slayers. The twist is that gamers control real life death row convicts. That promptly fight to the death. The YouTube video description has more info, but it's Gerard Butler being bad ass. What more do you need in a movie? Also, it's weird how gamers are portrayed as totally okay with playing with the lives of real life people and probably paying a new char fee or something if their con dies. It raises to question whether or not the movie will have a few messages like a) Video games make kids de-sensitized to violence b) Video games account for a loss of morality due to vulgar/bloody subject matter c) Mind control is bad |
