Good fantasy-novel fonts
As the title says. Anyone got any good tips? Or maybe a site to scrounge up some free ones?
EDIT: Baby Bahamut's saying Lucida Sans Unicode.

Using anything but New Courier in manuscript and Times New Roman in the publication is a crime, dammit.

Damn straight!
But seriously, do you mean within the book itself as in on the pages, or for the cover/title text? Obviously the innards have to consider readability over style, while the cover text can be a lot more fancy. |

I don't have any suggestions but this website is pretty awesome as far as finding free downloadable, good looking fonts. http://www.dafont.com/top.php

The book itself, in the pages. Sometimes I find really great stories online that have a different font I've never heard of, and it really adds to the story. Shoulda been more specific.

Depends on what you're going to use it for. If you want it on a map on the inside book cover or something, Old English is a good standby, and Vivaldi can work in a pinch. If you want something a bit more readable for, say, a title, you can go with any number of script-type fonts, like half of anything labeled "ITC" or anything labeled "script." I also have one called Magic Medieval, which looks pretty good and is very legible, but I can't recall where I got it from.

Yeah, it took me a while to type that post, as I was going through all my fonts to find ones I thought would be good. Here's a sampling of Magic Medieval.
20-point. Also, a link: http://www.2-free.net/free-fonts/mag...val/35808.html
