Guitarists! Behold our glory!
So, as I saw a thread for drummers I desided to make one for guitarists too! Ok so this is basically to talk about guitar playing in general, but I will start with a feww questions:
1. How long have you played? 2. What kind of music do you play? 3. Are you in a band? 4. What's your guitar model? 5. Maby you would like to tell us about your amplifier too? 6. Do YOU think you're any good? I will start. 1. About 1.5 years. 2. I play metal, but I practice with some easier music too...like rock 3. I'm not in a band. 4. I have a stratocaster copy. 5. I dont really want to talk about my amplifier yeah its that bad 6. I think that I'm not bad considering the amount I have played. Offcourse with some practicing I'l get better. So now your turn. And this is also to talk about guitar playing and not just to answer the questions.

If more of these musician threads pop up, I'm making one for people who play the jugs.

Actually, don't.
|
1. About 3/4 of a year.
2. Anything rock. 3. Yep. Just look at my user name. 4. Ugh. A Fender Squire. Eeeeeeeeeeeew!!!!!!!! I hate it. 5. No, I wouldn't. It's about the size of a cereal box. 6. I'm about average in skill. I was in a talent show with my band, but the lead guitarist forgot to turn his AMP ON, AND WE COULD ONLY HEAR ME, THE RHYTHM GUITAR, AND NOW I'M VERY ANGRY!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. 3 or so years..
2. Whatever I feel like playing. Except pop. 3. Sure, although we still lack a drummer. 4. Fender acoustic, and a shi... crappy Peavy electric. 5. Er.. No thanks. I hate my amp. 6. Pretty good. Always room to improve, though. And, just a few more things to add.. Favorite song to play is Under the Bridge, by the RHCP. With Chop Suey coming in second. by SoaD. Favorite guitars are probably the '78 Ibanez Iceman and the Fender Jag.

Yeah, my amp isn't that old. It's just small and crappy, and isn't compatipable with any pedals. So, basically, in order to switch to distortion, I have to walk over and flip the switch from clean to lead. Then I have to crank it up. Bah.

Let the musicians unite!
1. been playing for about 4 years 2. started out on the classics (eg Metallica, Megadeth, Pumpkins) 3. no bands right now 4. I own an Epi SG with a JB Seymour-Duncan in the neck, a Jackson RR, a nylon-string acoustic, and a steel string acoustic 5. Got a Fender Stage 100 practice amp 6. and I guess I've got some style I know some people who have been playing for a shorter time and are better and some who have been playing longer and are worse so it can go either way............

1. 2.5 years.
2. I can play in any genre to which I listen. I prefer metal. 3. I was in a band, but then was all, like, not in one. I'm still not. 4. B.C. Rich Warlock. Bronze, baby. I still don't have the golds for a new piece. 5. It's a tiny Marshall practice amp. It's so cute. Don't remember the model, though. 6. Two words: sweep picking. To be fair, I can only do it with the pentatonic scale, so I'm not extraordinarily good at it. Then again, I just realized the method a week ago, so I'm not too damn bad considering. As far as actual skill, I'm confident in my ability to play just about any rhythm, in right around any time signature at nearly any tempo. I can play easier lead parts on a number of songs (for Metallica alone: Four Horsemen, Fade to Black, Escape, One, Frayed Ends of Sanity). With all this in mind, I think I can barely qualify as an intermediate player. Thanks to my almost magical learning ability, I can pick up anything in a matter of hours, so it's really only a matter of time before I dominate the globe. Of course, I need some new equips first. I think it'll be around 2500 Golds before I can finally acquire what I've been after. I'll spare you the details, because I'm a nice guy. That and I don't remember. Oh, and happy belated birthday to myself. And thank you, everyone, for remembering. ...you bastards.
