Live Shows
ITT: we discuss the live shows we've seen.
So I just got back from a Blue Rodeo concert. Holy fucking awesome. The opener, Cuff the Duke, was basically a mini-Blue Rodeo, or a Blue Rodeo Jr, depending on your perspective. Highlight of the show: when Jim Cuddy's earpiece was fucking up and the pianist (From Cuff the Duke) (EDIT: Paul Lowman's his name) and Greg Keelor (on guitar) went on a combined solo train of about 10 minutes. Fucking awesome.

Only ever been to 1; Download 2009, assuming festivals count. 3 Days of awesome rock and metal bands, with the exception of Papa Roach and Marilyn Manson, who where shit.
Having never seen any live shows before it was a simply fantastic 3 days. Currently I have tickets to go and see my favourite band in the world, Kamelot, in London this march. Words cannot express my excitement for this event. But yeah, that's all I have to share. I really need to see more live bands.

I saw Manson at Mayhem Fest this last year and I didn't think he was bad at all. Really flashy, generally weird, it was like 11 at night. Given, I had one of the worst headaches of my life and i was fucking cold and I was like a football field from him, it still seems like it was okay. XD

Yeah but at Download he came on stage (about half an hour late) either pissed, high, or both, then after each song decided to either stand stock still like a douche while people brought out a change of clothes for him, or he'd throw microphones/bottles of water around/into the crown like he was having a childish tantrum.
Not to mention the fact that he kept getting into the faces of and pissing off the other band members, replacing lines in his songs with "etcetera" and all the other shit he was doing. Pretty much everyone agreed he was an absolute dick.

Bob Dylan live is a sight to see. Not one you'd probably want to repeat but you should do it at least once.
