The plan to make a video game movie:

1 - Announce the movie with as little interest in making the plot interesting as possible.
2 - Design everything, including cast, set, and costumes, to generate as much fan interest as possible.
3 - ?????
4 - PROFIT!

Oh my fucking god. This... this is atrocious. Just looking at those pictures I can literally smell the cheese already. They look like cosplayers... on some really under budget game show set from the nineties. And the "plot" sounds barely existant.

I can honestly see this being worse than the street fighter movie.

I mean, your average fighting game has less plot than your average Kung-fu flick, which may or may not have less plot than an old porno, so you'd think when going from one to the other they'd add more. We'll see.

I mean yeah Street Fighter was bad but there's a whole circle of hell dedicated to that...thing.

EDIT: I do have to admit that the dude playing Eddie looks completely fucking perfect. The casting seems solid in looks alone but...the degree at which they're going for game-to-movie accuracy based purely on visuals is worrying.

EDIT DEUCE: And I have to admit I'm curious about this movie just to see how they're going to have Yoshimitsu get implemented. It will make absolutely no sense at best.

My money is on taekwondsleydale turning out superior.

As to the above picture, the first thing that stands out to me is that Christie doesn't make me want to immediately tear off her clothes. Clearly something has been lost in the translation here.

I've heard a lot about this over the past couple of months and it seems like the movie is going to be very bad. I'm just waiting on the dvd release to see how bad, since it won't be released in cinemas over here.

Okay, what the fuck is Nina wearing, I've gotten over Eddie's "Captain Brazil" outfit, even though you don't need to dress Lateef Crowder up for him to be Eddy, but what in the HELL is Nina wearing? And where are Kazuya's scars? First zuko, now this I WANT THEM TO DISFIGURE MORE ACTORS!
