Pirate RPG bickering, I mean ooc thread...

At the request, or advice, of BMHadoken, I'm creating this... For people who have problems with stuff that they can't use PMs for, for people wanting to express ideas about stuff, and the like... And for people who want to join, even though they probably won't even realize this thread exists... Anyways, my fingers are crossed, hoping this will work...

PS - This is for the Pirate RPG thread, which I also started... for those who don't understand

IHMN: Shugenja means, roughly, mage or wizard. I'm not sure what the second thing means, however. I think it's a name.

Also, if you like, that can be you thrown into the sailors, or another PC (other than dante and whazzisname, the dragoon guy, being that Rue was watching Dante's character and the other isn't in the bar), or just a random bar patron. Whatever you guys want.

Maho-Tsukai means something along the lines of "black magician".

Mahou Tsukai actually means only Magician, literally Magic Messenger. Kinda cool actually. Anyways, Osterbaum if you wanna join, create a character, I guess in this thread. We (Meaning I) will look it over, and if it doesn't need any tweaking I'll letcha in. Fairly simple, I suppose.

I'd suggest just doing some basic work and looking at the original sign-up (something like, New RP Losers need not apply, to that effect at least) and then copying the format from there...

Man, so few people actually use this thread... Anyways, I'm gonna try to keep it alive, and post my OOC stuff here.
What I think IHMN was saying, is that Videogamerz2000's description of what he is doing doesn't make too much sense, considering the setting. It is a pirate town, filled with filthy pirates, it is pretty much one great big slum. (Picture Tortuga in Pirates of the Caribbean). Also, what you're saying makes it feel like a bright, sunny new day, instead of a cloudy, rainy day. Cafes, freshly baked breakfast, and 'common folk' aren't exactly the words that I would choose when talking about such a town. Oh yeah, and this town is on an island, I think I mentioned... A relatively small island, not a wasteland. Maybe something like "Was grateful he woke up, in a town like this. Left the Inn, and walked down the dirty streets, where last night's drunks were still passed out. Scott was searching for a boat to take him out of this dangerous place, when he saw a man that last night he thought heard talking about a boat, and finding crewmates." Would be better. Just a suggestion... Plus I'm kind of wondering why Scott had managed to find the three dead people the day before, when Janus wasn't exactly close by the town. I mean, Scott had just walked out, and back into the town that evening... This may have also caused confusion as to which town Scott was in. And I should have named it, that would help... I will in my next RP post. Just... Think about the details, the setting, and how your writing style incorporates these.
